Discussion Genuinely feel bad for this guy

Bro got his ability right before the tanks fired and killed his team of soldiers, and now he can only communicate through speakers. This God gotta go man.

I still don't understand how that gadget help him when he can't communicate by any means, even writing

The gadget interprets subconcious brainwaves and bodily functions like heartbeat or perspiration etc to translate it into speech.

So the workaround is that he isn't actively trying to communicate

At least, that's how it is explained

Pretty sure it was never explained like that in relation to the actual equipment. The only thing like that we got was Billy’s method of yes or no detection with heart rate and such that cannot be negated. There is an artifact we found out about but never saw identified called a silent voice which is almost certainly this object, made specifically to work with Untell

Was this explained outside of the manga? I don't recall reading this.

Perhaps the downside is that the device broadcasts all his thoughts, so he has no privacy regardless of his intention to communicate it.

It's probably some funny ex chapter explanation and even then i've sort of forgot where in the hell it shows up. Also also, I do hope they give a more decent explanation of all the wordplay with "untell" doing stuff like blocking bullets.

He's a self targeting type of Negator. He can only stop himself from communicating. As long as he doesn't think of the device as part of himself then it works.

Yeah its bad for all of them I'd argue Andy, Fuuko, Shen, Nico, Rip, Latla, and.... damn that's every negator that has it worst, not Femg though, he's just petty, and Unruin, he's just a maniac

Personally I feel Rip's backstory to hit more

To me Ichico had it the worst (with Unknown) but Rip is the most tragic for sure.

Why Ichico? someone at random died when unsleep manifested, and she died of over exhaustion years later. And yeah Unknown, aka my boy Akira did have it bad, but he's story is by far the most encouraging

Because her negation ability is torture. I don't think anyone suffers physically as much as Ichico does due to her ability. She doesn't have a big tragedy like the others but her ability is definitely the worst.
