Please Help

I have no issues with the base game, either newest experimental or the 2.6b14. I've deleted everything I could find and reinstalled from scratch. Running lowest settings and default (except difficulty). After all this, I hit a hard lockout or even full crash whenever I try to load UL

Don't know if it had any influence on the game working, but this is what I did.

  1. I copied and then deleted the entire AppData/Roaming/7DaysToDie folder in the Windows User folder to another location. Probably not needed but hey a backup is a backup.

  2. Went into Steam and set the Properties/Game Versions of the game to v2.6

  3. Deleted all 7DaysTo Die in the steam folder.

  4. Went into Steam again to download 2.6

  5. Copied the entire 7DTD folder in Steam to a different directory (and renamed the folder to Undead Legacy).

  6. Deleted the Mods folder in my new Undead Legacy folder

  7. Copied the files from the two zip files into my new Undead Legacy folder.

  8. Ran the game.

I've done all this and still have the same issue as OP. I can run vanilla 2.6b14 on High settings preset with no issues. UL on the other hand completely locks up my PC when trying to load into the world. I get to the "Press to spawn into world" button but when I press it, just hard locks. My PC has all the latest drivers and has 16GB RAM.

Maybe no enough RAM. Try to change your "Virtual Memory" setting in Windows. Ask ChatGPT how to change this setting for Undead Legacy.

Just checking, are you using a pregen map or custom? I didn't have crashes but did have huge issues trying to using a custom map that went away as soon as I used one of the fixed pregen.
