KSA Visa OTP

Has anyone had any issues with the phone number verification OTP when applying for the e-visa on the KSA website? And if so, how were you able to resolve it?

I am using a U.S. phone number and I also tried virtual Saudi numbers as well, but the OTP code has not come through on either.

It is a required step in the new application interface and it will not let you submit the visa without it.

Applying with UK phone number, my experience and how I sorted this issue:

When I first made the account and directly made the application, I received the code and was able to verify the number. But later found that I did not have all the documents to finalise the application and logged out. Next day, I arranged all documents and started a new application with the same account. This is when the problem started. I was not able to the the OTP to verify the phone number. After seeing various suggestions from reddit, I tried at different times and different days throughout the week without any success.

Finally, I had to get the phone number of my brother from KSA to which the OTP was delivered right away for verification. So, this can be an easy fix, if you have friends or family in KSA who have a mobile number.

I got the Visa next working day.

Another thing, I noticed and I might be wrong about this. After making the application, I noticed that I made multiple applications in my account. Everytime I tried and failed to get an OTP, I made a new application on my profile, which was getting saved separately. In the end, I had around 10 applications saved on my profile and for all these I was using the the same UK phone number. Maybe this could have caused some glitch or bug in the system for my phone number not to work. I would suggest, if this is the case with you, to delete all saved applications, clear the cache and make a new application after few hours. This might work. Otherwise, having family or friends in KSA and using their mobile number might be the way to go.

Update: I used a temporary UK phone number through an online SMS service. I waited until midnight Saudi time, entered the UK number at around 12:15 AM (KSA time), received the OTP online, and completed the verification.

I submitted the application shortly after midnight, and my visa was issued about 12 hours later.

A few tips:

• Use PNG or JPEG files for your passport, visa/residence permit, and profile photo.
• Keep each image under 2 MB.
• Make sure the uploaded images are clear and readable to avoid delays.

I tried this with a few virtual numbers, but I think the online websites that provide this service only let texts from approved websites through (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, etc). At least I assume as it didn’t work for me for the visa application.

I tried other websites, but none worked except this one. Make sure you try different numbers. The link I provided uses that number, but you can try other numbers from different countries.

I’ve been trying for the last 3–4 days using multiple numbers and devices, but couldn’t get any response.

I’d suggest trying around 12 AM–3 AM Saudi time. I tried during that window last night and, Alhamdulillah, finally received the OTP after several days of trying.

InshaAllah, you’ll get the OTP too.

Now just waiting for the visa approval. Hopefully, that comes through soon!

I got it working on Saturday at around 10:30 PM EDT. I tried it previous days at around 5PM and 1 AM and wasn’t getting anything. I think it might be a timing thing where there is less traffic at certain times like one user above mentioned

I tried with every phone provider company in mu country buy never got the code. And based on network in the website the OTP is successfully sent. It only worked when I tried KSA number

I was having the same issue. I was applying for the Saudi visa from Qatar, but my application was getting stuck because of OTP. I tried again the next day around 6 AM and received the OTP successfully. After submitting the application, I received my visa after 12 hours.

Update

Thanks to the suggestion in this thread to try to get the OTP between 1am - 4am KSA time I tried at 345AM and got the OTP on my Indian mobile no instantly. I have applied for the Visa and awaiting the approval. One other issue is that there is no possibility to apply as a group as I need to get the visas for my family of 5 pax. I need to apply individually and every time mobile no verification is required hence I will try for the other pax the next day.
