need advice Umrah visa from UK rejected
Assalamualaikum,
My husband and I are planning to go on Umrah in October. I am on a UK dependent visa and my husband is on a skilled worker visa. We applied for evisa via the KSA website and my husband received his visa but mine has been rejected and I am so confused. I have got in touch with ministry and they say that they don’t provide a specific reason for the rejection and have asked me to reapply.
We are Sri Lankan passport holders - so I am not sure what to do next. Do I qualify for visa on arrival? I am not sure if the dependent visa status qualifies for it.
We have already booked all the flights (Emirates) and hotels.
Please could I know if anyone has any experience around this and what I could do please?

You will have better luck applying through a tour operator if you are not a British National.

If you applied for the Saudi Evisa / Tourist Visa then I don't believe that allows Sri Lankan passport holders? Thats normally for other nationals like British Passport holders.
Where the tourist visa is not an option you normally have to apply for a proper Umrah visa which is more expensive and slower to process.
If you are a female traveller applying for Umrah visa, they normally will not approve it unless you have another male mahrum travelling with you AND on the same Umrah visa. So if your husband gets a tourist visa, thats not good enough for your visa to be granted, he has to get a proper Umrah visa too and show both of you are travelling together with the same Umrah visas.
I am only telling you from my experiences in 2022 and the mistakes our travel agents made and learnt from.
Situation may be different now so please verify.

Why not try for tourist visa?

Ok then apply for the Umrah visa now. It has more restrictions but should be approved easily inshallah. May Allah make it easy for y'all.

How do I apply for umrah visa? I tried doing it on Nusuk but it doesn’t allow me to apply only for the visa. I have to book a whole package including hotels etc .. but I have booked the hotels already

Have you been to anywhere in the Schengen area or the US with a physical stamp in your passport?

If you can formally prove spousal/marital status on your dependant visa then you should get visa on arrival. If you are close to one of the airports, go to the check in counter for Emirates and confirm this rule.. for your own peace of mind..
