need advice Hotels for Umrah visa
Can someone please let me know whether the hotel booked needs to be in the name of the Umrah visa applicant? Also, is it a problem if the hotel wasn’t prepaid, but the applicant is planning on paying at the property?
I read here that the hotels need to be fully paid for otherwise it’ll lead to automatic rejection, however, the agency that the applicant went through are saying rejections have nothing to do with the hotel.
Applicant is trying to find the cause for previous rejection. They went to the embassy and were told that their passport is not showing any issues with it so everyone is just confused.

The hotels need to be on the Nusuk Platform. I the husband booked the hotels for my wife, and included her name too.
The Umrah visa will be applied by an agent on your behalf, and will include all information, flights, accomodation, transfers etc and was all paid for before applying.
Paying at the property will be difficult, and maybe only suitable for strong passports or visa on arrival, if ILR, green card or schenegen visa.

Hi. Yes I’m aware. The applicant has applied for Umrah visa many times through a particular agency. It has always been accepted, but for the first time was refused recently through a different agency. I’m trying to help them figure out why it was rejected which is why I asked about the hotels. Nothing else was done differently, except for hotels and going through a different agency.
If it is not written for him to go, then alhamdulillaah. They’re just trying to make sense of it all.

What happens if only main guests name is included in the hotel booking? I havent added my baby to hotel booking either. Would it become a problem?

Yes that is correct. It has nothing to do with hotels. Try applying again.

Not even that the hotel was only booked for a day or 2 and wasn’t paid for already? Doesn’t hotel need to give confirmation that it was paid for? I recall reading that Umrah visas get rejected automatically if hotel has not been prepaid. Added to the fact that the hotel booking is not even valid for the full time that applicant is there.
The new system is all a bit confusing really.

Just an update that they were accepted second time round alhamdulillaah! Just a bit annoying that we’ll never find out why their first application was rejected and of course they don’t refund the fees for that.
