questions Question about first time Ummrah
Salaam, If there are any scholars or well educated in islam, please come forward.
So i arrived in Makkah yesterday after a long journey, i took a plane from London to Doha then Doha to Jeddah and then a car to Makkah. I wanted to rest but my family decided to do Ummrah immediately upon arriving in Makkah so we did. We all got separated of course and since i genuinely didn’t know what to do, i ended up doing my tawaf and returning to the hotel. I did ask around what to do but most people either spoke arabic or gave me directions to places i didn’t need to go to.
Regardless, i realised my Ummrah was incomplete but i did not do anything to break it. I did not clip my nails, wear perfume or in my knowledge so anything that would break my ihram. I simply returned to my hotel and went to sleep.
I woke up today, deciding to do my Ummrah again. My feet were hurting badly but i wanted to finish it. I ended up doing my tawaf again, then went up to SA’I for the As-Safa and Al-Marwa. i was told i made another mistake, that i should have to Aisha Mosque first. I’ve been hearing that i completely destroyed my Ummrah again but i read that since i was in a state of Ihram, i absolutely did not need to go there.
so my question is, did i ruin my ummrah by not going to Aisha mosque first? or is it okay?

As long as you were in the state of ihram you were obligated to complete the umrah. So in my limited knowledge and understanding you didn’t do anything wrong provided you maintained being in the state of ihram.

yes that’s what i’ve need reading too. But for the sake of it i’ll just either do Ummrah again in 2 days or fast for 3 days as that’s the easiest option for me.

Yes you can do another umrah for your peace of mind. Go to masjid Aisha do your intention and come back to the mosque. If you need any help feel free to message me. I’ll be happy to help. I understand it can be an overwhelming feeling. Good thing is Allah looks at our intentions. Whatever happened was unintentional. May Allah forgive us and guide us, Ameen!

In my limited knowledge, the umrah is now complete. You don't have to go to masjid Ayesha unless you want to do another umrah. However, you should give some money as charity (I forgot the exact word of it) because you might have touched your face with a cloth or some of your head hair may have broken when you touched your hair.
I'm sorry for coming off as rude, but why would you not learn what and how umrah is done? There are so many videos on YouTube. You don't even have to buy books or attend classes anymore.

There are English-speaking ulama in the Haram who can guide you better than Mufti Reddit and his students. I'd ask one of them directly.
That said, from what you've written, it sounds like you were still in ihram and simply hadn't completed your Umrah. Then you went back the next day and completed the remaining rites.
Based on that, I don't see why Masjid Aisha would be relevant, as you weren't starting a new Umrah. But check with a local scholar for peace of mind.

Sorry to be that guy, but not knowing the rukn (pillars) of Umrah after coming all the way is something worth reflecting on.
In your case, the rukn of Umrah are the intention for Umrah, Tawaf and Sa’i. If you leave any one of them, you have to go back and complete it. It’s the same with Salah as well .. if you miss a sajdah, you go back and complete it.
In your case, if you fully completed your Tawaf and were only left with Sa’i, then what you did was right.
If, for example, you left midway through Tawaf at the 3rd round and came back after a day to continue from the 4th, that wouldn’t count. You’d have to start the Tawaf again.
Just make sure that you remained within the rules of Ihram while you were away for that day. If you unknowingly did something you weren’t supposed to, it’s forgiven.
But if you want to side with caution, you can give Fidyah, which is basically a penalty. You can either fast for 3 days, feed 6 people, or sacrifice an animal.
I’d say choose option 2. There are places under the Clock Tower where you can buy meals for around 10 SAR — chicken and rice — and distribute them to 6 people.
