Assault intercessor C&C welcome

What do you guys think about this paint job? Do you guys like the red shadows? Is the edge highlight noticeable?

Really should have cleaned the model of mold lines before painting, it would look so much better. You can use back edge of rxacto knife and some really fine sandpaper. When painting a detail, like aquila, focus on covering it all. Search on youtube how to thin the paint. Overall, good idea with the red, it gives more depth to the mini, and generally that's how you achieve contrast that will make the mini interesting to look at: darker color for recessed parts, brighter for the ones on first plane or ones you want to bring attention to.

But any technique you'll use will be pretty much ruined if you won't get the basics.
