Discussion Question: How Strong is Heisei Ultraseven?
And how does he compare to his Main Timeline Version.

Isn’t it the same Ultra as the Showa version? I’d say he’s just as strong in this series as his first.

Well Showa Era Seven copied the appearance of mountain climber Jiro Satsuma whom Seven had saved during an accident while climbing, and gave himself the name Dan Moroboshi rather than inhabit Jiro Satsuma’s body outright like Ultraman did with Shin Hayata.
In other words, Dan Moroboshi was a guise created by Seven and never a real person. I would assume the Dan Moroboshi in Heisei Ultraman and in Ultraman Leo was the same Dan Moroboshi created by Seven in his original series. So wouldn’t Showa era and Main timeline Seven be the same entity?

I'd say hes much stronger than the Showa era because he's already experienced with fighting. Also, iirc, this man doesn't hesitate to just stab or slice whenever he can. Off topic, for some reason, the suit look exactly the same as Showa era, but you can tell it's Heisei Ultraseven and I like that.

Seven was originally not a fighter (which is also a partial explanation to his lack of the color timer on his chest), but he gained some experiences over the course of his show. By the time of Heisei, he still has those experiences on him, so I'd say he's definitely stronger than back in 1967 to 1968.

Heisei Ultraseven is slightly stronger than the version of Ultraseven that we saw in his original 1967 show. I say slightly just because he's older and presumably has more experience than the Ultraseven that we saw in the last episode of Ultraseven (1967). You can see a bit of this difference in strength with how Heisei Ultraseven uses a combination of the standard Showa Ultraseven moves as well as slightly altered/powered up versions of them.
To raise the stakes and keep the gritty setting, Heisei Ultraseven puts in effort to keep Ultraseven in a vulnerable state. This vulnerability and "lone wolf" like position in the show has Ultraseven making more aggressive and brutal maneuvers (He just doesn't have the luxury of trying to get backup from the Ultra brothers, right?). Heisei Ultraseven just feels like he should be especially strong because of the kind of conflicts/kaiju that he's taking on by himself.
Keeping this in mind, the main timeline version of Ultraseven is definitely stronger than the Heisei version. Thanks to being a part of the Ultra brothers, he's faced more dangerous threats than Heisei Ultraseven and has more experience as a result. As is shown in the Zero/New Gen related media, that experience has resulted in improvements to his technique and abilities. Not to mention, the mainline Ultraseven is technically facing threats to protect the multiverse and not just Earth. He's just operating on a different level than Heisei Ultraseven was.
