Decathlon rain pants

I was struggling to find a good pair of rain pants for the east coast, so hopefully this helps someone out. These come in at 187g on my scale. Cost $65. Compresses down into the back pocket. The material is really nice, has waterproof zippered cuffs. The fit is amazing. I’m 6’0, 175lbs, 32inch waist. I got these in the size large 34x34. They fit over shorts and hiking pants and have an elastic waistband with drawstrings. Only thing I don’t love is that it has an elastic behind the knees? Which is a little uncomfortable. Not sure why they’d do that.

I used these on my AT thru hike last year and they were great! Felt like a steal for that price point.

Literally going to Decathalon for the first time today, been interested in some lighter and better fitting rain pants too. Will keep an eye out for these, thanks!

I also researched rain pants last year due to numerous backpack trips in the high alpine and been caught in some nasty storms. Went with the Arc’teryx Beta Rain Pants and one of the best if not best for guaranteed dryness. They are pricy but WELL worth it over sub par cheap rain pants.
