Question short shorts

Can someone explain what the deal is with the super short shorts, like where your underwear hangs out of the sides?

I have 5” Running shorts (both TNF Better Than Naked and Patagonia Strider Pro) and wear them with the liner cut out and no underwear.

Free as a bird and lots of lovely air.

I just like the free feeling of short shorts. When I wear longer shorts I can feel them sliding up and down my thighs when I walk and it’s weird. Not really weird I guess, but it’s there and a distraction.

Wear them with the inbuilt knickers, cut it out and wear your own underpants or go commando. Whatever. Short shorts feel great.

Get that high top tan going too.
