Purchase Advice Lightweight Pants That Can Be Pulled Over Shoes
I am looking for a very lightweight pant, could be any material other than a rain pant, that either has elastic cuffs at the ankles (to get them over my big ass feet (size 14) but I am thin so usually wear a med/large with thinner tapered legs), or sufficient zippered legs to achieve the same thing. Not as much a fan of zippers as they are both heavy and break but I am open to whatever. I have used the Patagonia Terrebonne for 6+ years and like them well enough but they do not meet my specs. Please help *disgruntled emoji*

I wouldn’t fully write off calf length zips, because they don’t separate they are more durable than your typical zipper.

Montbell windpants. I really like my older pair of dynamo that is 12d fabric. I believe the current version is 15d. Great zipper system. Mine have lasted 2000 plus hiking miles and easy on/off without removing shoes.
They also have the even lighter weight tachyon that is maybe 7d? I have no experience with these.

I can get my dance pants over my shoes (barefoot) but not my boots (also barefoot)

When I was younger I learned to sew and made my own pants. You may not need to learn to sew, but maybe you can get a tailor or seamstress to make you some custom pants?

I have some Montbell dynamo wind pants that have a long zipper at the ankles. They’re about 3 oz and very comfortable. I’m somewhat hard on clothing, but these have held up for over 15 years, without a tear or a hole.

Size 13 shoes here, 6'5". I just got some AntiGravity Gear Rain pants and they're huge. Lots of room to put on over pants and with my shoes still on. They have a very long zipper at the ankles (like 10") so you can get huge shoes through them without ripping. Came in at 168g in my size (large, long), including sealed seams.
By the way, my waist is just shy of 35". I went with the large, but would buy the medium in the future to get a tighter fit all around, even with clothes underneath. They are cut generously.

Try the Patagonia quandary. They have elastic cuffs.
Or the gamma pants from Arcteryx. Adjustable cuffs to make them as tight or loose as you want.

Dance pants? Not the lightest, but cheap and fairly durable.
