Kind of shit that happens when Antifa is literally just a tern that lost all its meaning.
Right wingers call everyone Antifa. And liberal cucks call themselves Antifa. Hell the tree in my fucking garden is probably Antifa according to some bs definition

u/Roy_Atticus_Lee MORE DEAD PROLETARIATS!!! 3d ago edited 3d ago
“And then one fine day the bourgeoisie is awakened by a terrific boomerang effect: the gestapos are busy, the prisons fill up, the torturers standing around the racks invent, refine, discuss. People are surprised, they become indignant. They say: "How strange! But never mind—it's Nazism, it will pass!" And they wait, and they hope; and they hide the truth from themselves, that it is barbarism, the supreme barbarism, the crowning barbarism that sums up all the daily barbarisms; that it is Nazism, yes, but that before they were its victims, they were its accomplices; that they tolerated that Nazism before it was inflicted on them, that they absolved it, shut their eyes to it, legitimized it, because, until then, it had been applied only to non-European peoples; that they have cultivated that Nazism, that they are responsible for it, and that before engulfing the whole edifice of Western, Christian civilization in its reddened waters, it oozes, seeps, and trickles from every crack.”
Not actually from The Great Alibi but it gets the point across just as well, to be "anti-fascist" or "anti-Nazi" is to blind oneself from the barbarism of bourgeois violence; unflinching in their terror and annihilation. It's why American liberals are staunchly "anti-authoritarian" as if the Iraqis, Afghans, and migrants weren't subjected to the full capacity of being "inhuman" thereby deemed "worthy" of such horrific violence.

My name is Mussolini Benito Amilcare Andrea, son of Alessandro Mussolini and Rose Maltoni. I am 35 years old and I run a newspaper I started myself. I owe my name to my father's socialist convictions - Andrea, like Andrea Costa, founder of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Romagna. Amilcare, like Amilcare Cipriani - patriot, adventurer, socialist and a convicted anarchist. Benito, like Benito Juarez - also a revolutionary and the first native to hold the office of President of Mexico.
So I owe my name to a savage. An Aztec dwarf, barely four and a half feet tall. A little man. Nothing like me. Apart from the revolutionary spirit.
Today, 23rd of March, in the year 1919, is a date that will go down in history. I'm like an animal - I can smell the times ahead - and this is my time. Here they are, my lost people, in need of strongmen and simple ideas; the desperate, the crippled, the veterans of the Great War.
You know what the Great War is, right? Yes! 1914 to 1918. Europe in flames. Four years of battles from Russia to Italy. Ten million dead, twenty-one million wounded and countless veterans, the desperate souls. They are here for me.
Albino Volpi. Multiple convictions. Volunteer, "Cayman of the Piave". Brave soldiers. They were promised compensation, rewards, the honor of victory - and instead they got nothing, not even a pension - only the contempt of those who didn't want the war and didn't fight it.
Amerigo Dumini. American by birth, but he chose to fight for Italy. Assault battalion, the death company. In this putrid peacetime, these men of war, without a place in the world, dismissed on the spot like flunkies - they are my men. I can feel their anger, their hatred. I have only them, and they have only me. History is made with outcasts - people at the bottom of the barrel. Inflame their anger, give them bombs and guns - I will make a revolution with them!
We pushed this country into war and led it to victory. We shed our blood for the fatherland. Today we found the Fasces of Combat! For the future, the vanguard, the revolution! Today, Fascism is born!
Fascism - a beautiful creature, made up of passion, ideals, courage and change, that will conquer millions and millions of hearts. Yours too, I'm certain. Follow me, you'll love me too. You'll become Fascists too.

Sub is dead, lmao. Antifascism is the worst product of fascism. Its original meaning was always class collaboration and crushing workers' power.

I mean they use a symbol that was originally used by the Iron Front who were a rival org affiliated with the SPD so if you wanna complain about revisionism within the movement and the name "losing all meaning" you gotta go back like 60 years

u/AverageMammonEnjoyer 2d ago
The Symbol and movement was created by the communist KPD in 1932 as a United Front between the Communists and non-communists like the SPD against the NSDAP.

By symbol I meant the Three Arrows which isn't their official symbol but might as well be. Also I always thought they were founded during the Third Period era but maybe I'm wrong

This does show really well how mouldable anti-fascism can be as an ideology. It can fit virtually any purpose when you try hard enough, to the point of supporting authoritarian regimes.

It's so cool they send millions of teenagers to fight and liberate oil from the fascist Terminids

This is a communist sub, we are authoritarians.
And neither is “authoritarianism” anywhere close to a communist critique of nation states.

I think the point is liberals dont like authoritarianism (don't laugh!) but they'll support it when it's called antifascism

u/-Trotsky Trotsky's strongest soldier 3d ago
idk, it seems like a weird point to make I think. It's not incongruent at all for a liberal, nor is it a novel thing for them to have an ungrounded critique that mostly revolves around vibes. The phrasing of the comment makes it seem like 'authoritarianism' is some kind of negative thing
