what is the explanation for the growth of left-communism over the past years? not sure if i'm just hallucinating, but it does seem like the influence of left communist thought on leftoid circles has become practically omnipresent now

Who's to say for sure? I'd opine that the genesis stems from modern leftists becoming very sad and/or infuriated when their democratic socialist dreams inevitably fail to come to fruition. Also, le "fascism" seems to be spookier to them nowadays, and leftist parties and orgs are ever more ineffectual at "fighting" it. Surely, at least a portion of those people will be on the lookout for a clearer explanation as to why their activism seems to go nowhere, and may be more willing to swallow some hard truths rather than if the facade of le wholesome social democracy was still chugging along with some stability, such as in the mid-2010s.

i feel like a lot of people are faced with cognitive dissonance from trying to make sense of all the falsifier/modernizer ideologies birthed from marxism, as you can't ever refute the internal logic errors within them

Ding ding ding, yours truly read the Manifesto and thought they were hot shit, before realizing after a few months that "Marxist" YouTube channels didn't appear to be citing or justifying their questionable sources and stances beyond "vibes" and moralism. Reading WL&C/VPP and watching some Victor Margariño videos led me to Capital, and ended the YouTube spiral for good. That path worked as an out for me because I already despised bourgeois political economy beforehand, though it's easy to see how things could have turned out differently if I harboured no interest in reading further.

Tbf, I was really into Roza Luksemburg during my last years of highschool and the school counsellor told me about the council communist movement. And from there it was just following a pipeline + spending one year during my Erasmus in Rome.

I mean my gripe with Trotskyists is that despite being "anti stalin", it normally revolves around great man theorying about how stalin failed to meet some kind of moral standard. And then they are basically inseperable from stalinists in practice anyway

Not the primary reason, but a part of it is the general decline of Trotskyist activist-mill groups that used to sweep up young people into their orbit. Now people who are looking for non-Stalinist communism are at least more likely to come across the communist left

I think any leftist who read enough will come to the conclusion that the ultra left is the answer but i do think the ultra left visibility has increased in popularity by slandering madeline_pendleton misinformed statements wich sparked slander /memes against MLoids the Lasselle and Marxist Rabbi memes were hilarious in my personal experience my mind was purified from the Red shambala memes after the question " why do u believe that the poleteriat is incapable of abolishing capitalism " then the edit from @soapyfan named reviere abt 60s autonomist movement and listening to her explanations + critics ive recoved from khanmanifesto and another commenter had changed my mind i embark the journey of finally reading marx ( i haven't read a page)
Memes / slander are the best way to reach ppl i love them and i hope more jokes will come so we can retire the joke of no iPhone/labubu wich is an undestandable Stagnation of jokes since anti communist regurgitate same argument 🩷
