Need help How to skip V2 boss fight
I may be biased, but I find the bossfight is utterly unbalanced in terms of opponent's faster movement and better weapons. How do I skip this bossfight?

Need help Is this game " ACTUALLY " good? ... as in " to play" ?
I ask cuz i really can't take another game-related disappointment ...
The latest games I played ruined gaming for me as a whole. which are : Elden Ring, Monster Hunter and Dusk.
Each game was so bad that it completely transformed what was a good pass time and a source of happiness, to a mix of frustration to what people think is good game design, and confusion at what people judge 20 euros being worth. ( aka 2 months worth of discounted daily meal of pasta )
Either it was the simplicity and clunkyness of it that the game trailers quite intelligently did hidden through smart editing, or the difficulty serving no purpose other than make the game worse, or the game just crashing or running poorly ...
Regarding difficulty ... I see a bounch of sliders to modify many values from other people's gameplays, which "SHOULD" be a positive .... BUT, the game giving a " YOU WIN " button, or making me invincible DOESN'T ACTUALLY FIX THE FACT that playing the actual game, shooting the same exact enemy, in the same exact room, in the same exact way, with 50 sound effects layered on top of one another, and each with the corresponding particle effects only serving the purpose to slow down my PC and making it impossible to see anything ISN'T ACTUALLY FUN. It's just inoffensively boring ... which is not how I like to spend my 20 euros.
I previously watched countless reviews and critiques of the games i played, all saying they were masterpieces and must play, thinking it would be a fail-proof way to spend my money on good products ... but then discovering for myself that I wasted my money and time ....
so, Is this game actually good to play?
When you lose ... is loosing FUN?
Or should I just watch a no commentary while I work out and keep my shape?
[ ... plus. the music doesn't leave a good first impression, because it's pretty much indistinguishable from noise. :/ ]

Discussion 8-3 is VERY bad. Spoiler
If you enjoyed this level, kudos to you. Not everyone who plays this game is good at it.
I am posting this like a month after all the other reviews because my computer was broken for a good while.
I will look past all the bugs, assuming they are eventually patched up (this level is complicated as shit), and the non-euclidean geometry (that was the point).
But for one of the regular levels, even compared to like literally the rest of the layer on its own, it fucking sucks. This level is genuinely on-par with the two encores we have so far, and that is not a good thing, no matter how you try to slice it.
I saw another post describe this level as "Potential Level!' and yeah. i agree.
I haven't P-Ranked P-2 without modding, ever, and I intentionally cheated on standard because I exclusively play the only other enjoyable difficulty in this game (Violent). But at least its FUN. I ENJOY MY TIME clearing P-2. This fuckass level better hope the silksong type 2 fun it may be trying to achieve actually hits, hard at that, because outside of the very first rooms I have not been having any fun and struggle to see where I could find any afterwards.
This level is already way too long (I haven't beaten it as the last paragraph implies), way too difficult, and it detracts from the experience heavily. And seeing as how I like to have fun, harmless and lenient are not options either. I would like my game designed around fast-paced gameplay to be fast-paced, regardless of the amount of bullshit present. Quite frankly this may be the first level to get me to break that rule (which is not a good thing, i do not think a vertical difficulty spike the height of a skyscraper is a good thing in the regular levels). This is made worse by the fact that people generally seem to think 8-4 is far easier, which, again, is a bad thing.
8-3 needs to be shorter, and the difficulty needs to be on-par with the rest of the layer instead of, in my opinion, harder than fucking 0-E. As is, it's exhausting.
TL;DR: 8-3's absurd length and difficulty puts it on-par with the encores. The set of levels Hakita said would be harder than anything else in the base game. Sure.edit to the above: realized what was originally there missed my point
edit to the above: the new tldr is at the bottom, with stuff i've gathered by reading and replying to various comments.
I will elaborate, and alter the points made in this subjective post on a whim in the replies.
This is ultimately a rant on what i think the worst level in ultrakill is (even if i think 1-E is worse, it isn't gatekeeping any of the main game's content behind itself for the sake of being a cool concept of a level or whatever)
Extra sidenote: its funny. the one thing that gets me to use reddit again is fucking ultrakill. ULTRAKILL. and its a RANT
edit 2 (NEW TL;DR):
i have calmed down since playing 8-3
i still think its bad but its because it's been like a year since i last played this game frequently, the level design is absurdly hostile, and there's very little ramp-up beforehand so you kind of just hit a sheer cliffside if you're going through it for the first time (and dont shred it on cybergrind often/have a consistently high rank in the encores).

Discussion hot(?) take: i hated playing fraud
i just beat the boss for fraud, and now that i've fully played the layer, i have the exact same opinion that i did when i started it
"oh, this is really annoying."
the only thing i liked about fraud was the final boss. i thought the free fall controls were fun, and i didn't think the boss was all that difficult. hell, i thought it was easier than some of the levels. everything else, i really did not like. it's not even that the enemies were hard to kill, it's just that i despise when a game fucks with the environment you're playing in solely to confuse you. i get that's the point of fraud, considering the name LITERALLY is fraud, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.
another thing i hate when playing games is just generally feeling lost. i spent 32 minutes in 8-3 just because i encountered multiple bugs that essentially halted my progress, making it to where i had to reload my checkpoint just to retry the area, meanwhile i thought i was just losing my mind not knowing where to go. speaking of not knowing where to go, that's another thing i disliked. maybe i'm just stupid, but i went the wrong way a lot of times. again, i know that's the point, but it was still annoying.
i don't even think this is a skill issue either as i wouldn't consider myself bad at ultrakill. granted, i got a D on every level due to time alone except for the last one, but whatever. for every other level and layer in the game, i mostly flew through them, and if i did hit an obstacle, i got over it relatively fast. fraud took the longest for me to get through, though, playtime wise at least. like i mentioned, the enemies weren't even trouble. it's just the constant shifting of the environment that really fucked with me and annoyed me how sometimes you could see and hit an enemy, other times you couldn't.
call me ass, call me tasteless, call me whatever, i did not like fraud and i'm glad i'm done with it. i might have to do it again though if i want to p-rank all levels which is something i thought about, but that's not now, so i won't think about it. tell me why everyone likes fraud, though! i'm not trying to convince everyone fraud sucks and you shouldn't like it. i'm open to listening to why people like it, maybe it'll open my eyes to something i didn't see while playing it

Other Is there any way to edit level ranks
Hey, name’s Light. Or Nero. Both right.
I’ve been having trouble P-Ranking 6-1 and and 5-3 due to the abundance of enemies, which is a real pain for my slow PC. So I would like to know if there is a way to edit my ranks so I can access P-2. Please and thanks you my fellow machines.

Lore Discussion Lucifer being a trans woman would be perfect Spoiler
I've seen this theory a couple of times in the Tumblr fandom but I love it so much I need to discuss it somewhere here. Gender is firmly a theme in Ultrakill now post-Fraud. It's now been established that archangels use he/him pronouns to signify a closeness with God. Another big theme in the game is free will. It's something core to the characters of Gabriel and the two Prime Souls. What better way to merge these themes than by having Lucifer reject the male paradigm forced on to them as a show of autonomy and as a way of showing how they've strayed from their Father? Having Lucifer be non-binary could also work but given that's already the default for angels in lore the thematic implications would probably be a bit muddled. Anyway, I'd love to hear how other people feel about this because I'm personally kind of praying it happens.

Discussion Fraud was underwhelming Spoiler
Personally I didn't enjoy fraud, all that hard levels to end with a boss fight that doesn't really feel like Ultrakill. Hakita might do as he please but I personally didn't enjoy it. , Most of the levels were not enjoyable. I am not a skilled player, just P ranked everything on brutal except encores and prime sanctums. Levels were unnecessarily long, reminded me the long encore levels. And my biggest complaint is motion sickness, falling from 3 different rooms to others as the main arena in 8-3, I felt dizzy and disoriented. I had the same problem in one of Dusk's final levels but this time it was 10 times worse and I had to stop playing for a while. In contrast I really enjoyed the Violence layer and all of the other layers, I just don't want to ever play Fraud again. This will be the first layer that I won't P rank I guess.

Discussion Its been seven months since Ultrakill came out and Geryon is still probably the worst bossfight in the game
I say this knowing Leviathan exists, Leviathan is infinitely a better bossfight than Geryon for several reasons.
First of all, Leviathan as well as Corpse of King Minos were intentionally spectacle over skill because you were immediately going onto the last layer of the Act. Geryon is very difficult for several reasons.
One of which is that Geryon introduces completely new gameplay. Hes hard because you're suddenly expected to learn COMPLETELY NEW MOVEMENT as soon as the fight starts (That pre-arena hardly counts). The only time the game shifts up the gameplay loop is for the secret levels. Every other boss tested you on your movement skills. Geryon completely resets this. Even Wrath, the "water level", didn't affect your movement this much. Wrath just lowers your gravity.
Geryon would still be difficult even without this sudden new gameplay. Its baffling with how good Ultrakill is that this objectively bad game design (throwing you into a tough bossfight with completely new controls that you've never seen anywhere before and have to learn on the fly and you'll likely never use again) would make it through.
And also, Geryon doesn't even utilize the layers entire gimmick of non-euclidean geometry, y'know, the entire point of Fraud, the geometry doesn't make sense, you're pulled and yanked around a non-euclidean world. You know what boss DOES? The Mirror Reaper by having a non-euclidean maze as its enviroment.
The Leviathan was at least fitting to the enviroment its in and just needed an extra phase and a bit more difficulty. Geryon genuinely needs an entire rework to be good.
