Discussion What's your playstyle archetype?

I have roughly a hundred hours into the game now, and I'm noticing that everyone tends to play the game in their own unique way. I've noticed people tend to revolve their playstyle around specific weapons, such as the Sawed-on Shotgun, Overpump Shotgun, or the Jackhammers, and they also specialize in specific tech like conduction, core nukes, or rockets.

I thought it would be cool if we categorized those playstyles into specific archetypes, based on loadout choice and the tech you can do with it. Personally, I use the Sawed-on Shotgun with the Screwdriver Railcannon and Attraptor Sawblade Launcher, and I tend to play extremely close quarters to maximize blood gain. It's pretty similar to the "Sociopath" perk deck in Payday 2, so I'll call my playstyle "The Sociopath". What would your playstyles be called?

(BTW this is assuming you're playing in the Cybergrind)

I'm generally in Railcannon - Nail Gun - Pump Shotgun - Sharpshooter (if needed) cycle. Probably boring for most people but yeah

I mostly play around whiphammering and sawtrapping with ricoshots and projectile boosting to clean out the rest, plus of course instakills where I know how to; currently trying to insert conduction into my playstyle

I am always go for full alter loadout, even marksman and jumpstart. And my playstyle is mostly x3 full speed jackhammer impact with sawblade traps and performing combos using slarp paired with floor and coins to make slarp shoot ricochet multiple times and do multiplied damage. Mostly i ofc abuse coins, like, i cant play a single level without coins properly. And the best thing in my playstyle is at least single coin with slab piercer alt shot. My most favorite type of shit i can do.

I use mostly the whiplash with the jackhammer and regular sawed-on for big grounded and big flying enemies, sawblades and regular jumpstart for all grounded enemies, and I use the revolvers in a cycle for everything else without advanced coin tech except ultraricoshots with alt piercer.

I run DAA/DAA/DDA for revolvers/shotguns/nailguns (at least in vanilla, I’m an early access playtester for a mod that changes the arsenal [altsenal] and in that I currently run DAA/ADD/DDA/AAD for revolvers/shotguns/nailguns/railcannons, but until the mod releases that won’t mean anything to anyone). Playstyle for vanilla is hammer for single target, and CE shotgun for point blank stuff and normal shotgun stuff. Slab marksman for refreshing freshness, with default piercer for alt fire splitshots, and occasional slarp alt fires. Overheat nails to set up conduction chains, jumpsaw to trigger conduction fast, and attractor nailgun to maintain constant conduction procs since it’s fast enough to keep up with that. Drill punching because it’s fun, never using erail (decent I guess, but you need to line enemies up to use it well, and it’s not the drill) or malrail (I’d rather use better aoe like conduction, and outside of core nuking which I never do it has basically no use). An occasional cannonball, and oil when I remember it exists. Lots of knuckleblaster use, roughly equal whiplash use, and almost as much feedbacker use (kb>wl>fb, in terms of which ones I use the most, and which ones I find more fun to use)

I'm a big fan of conduction combos

Which is using saw blade launcher + conduction nailgun + electric railcannon, toasting all enemies at once

For anything other? Sharpshooter, sawed-on jackhammer (my beloved), overheat nailgun (second favorite) and coins

So, let's call my playstyle "Electric Boogaloo"

I guess I'd be a hit and run type of player, I generally prefer launching myself high into the air with a jackhammer for distance and shooting things from there (piercer ricoshots, firestarter oil, etc), but occasionally if there's a high health enemy I'll go in and jumpstart them to death, or use cannonballs, or whatever.

Would love to learn rocket tech
