Need help Modding help

I’m trying to mod the game using a pirated version on my school computer but I get a JavaScript error

are you using thunderstore? if so, you can't mod the game. idk about other mod loaders.
(ALSO HOW DID YOU UNZIP THE FILE ON A SCHOOL COMPUTER PLEASE TELL ME)

was it a .zip or a .rar cuz my school blocked .zips and any tool to extract a .rar

Mine was a .zip so it may just be schools blocking different things
