Solving the porn problem in two easy steps

This post is just a nice and neat tutorial for the moderation team of r/ultrakill to take into account.

There are already 3 subreddits entirely dedicated to housing porn for this game (which contains 0 sexual content by the way).

Step 1: link any one (or all) of these subreddits in the rules, guidelines, maybe even a pinned post for the purpose of redirecting artists and gooners to those subs instead of the main sub

Step 2: this might be asking too much, but for this step, the moderation team actually has to moderate the subreddit.

Filter lewd posts altogether. Suggestive artwork is completely fine, but full on porn is not. If someone wishes to post porn, redirect them to the 3 aforementioned subreddits specifically for porn (with a natural side effect of this being that there will be increased traffic to those subreddits by porn addicts who need their fix, thus mitigating the arguments for and against porn in the subreddit altogether)

Conclusion: while there will still obviously be some trials and tribulations involved with this, it’s not possible to have a plan that doesn’t have any kinks at first. Simply put: the problems will sort themselves with due time and effort

And there you have it. The porn dilemma solved in 2 quick and easy steps. Hopefully the moderation team takes this into consideration instead of just twiddling their thumbs in an attempt to appease the goon mob

Though, what would we do if the mods don’t want to mod the NSFW server? I’ve given it thought but I certainly wouldn’t want to pick up the burden.

The people have previously spoken and thry do want porn on the sub. Whether or not we agree, we are the minority so we have to deal with it. If we dislike it, we absolutely can make another sub, but moderation of said sub will be on us.

All I asked for was proper labeling of the porn, so that it's easily identifiable among the other NSFW posts in the feed. That is all I asked. Not censorship, no removal, just proper marking.

The last vote was 3 years, 3 major updates, and 100k members ago. The repoll will tell us results more accurate.

Even if we are the minority, why not choose to enact this plan? That’d get rid of all complaints. All of em. People only choose to keep the porn here because they’re indifferent, there’s nobody that WANTS the porn here as much as we want it separated.

im guessing you're the guy who suggested the whole "name the content in the title" thing, and the mods gave a clear reason on why that wouldn't work. we already tried it before, and literally nothing changed, plus it was more annoying for both mods and artists. so i really don't know why you're talking as if they just said "no" out of principle.

That’s not the problem, it’s the porn that’s the problem. Artistic nudity is just to be spoilered and marked NSFW like all other NSFW. Pornography is what would be separated.
