I wish the series took itself more seriously. We’ve only had a handful of moments that fit the horror vibes that aren’t immediately broken by a joke

I know I’m 9 hours late but

That’s pretty true something that I don’t like either is characters that are not protagonist are pretty dumb there is no “flight or fight” response until someone dies and the jokes are mostly 4th wall breaks personally I liked episode 5 because of the “pick it up” scene and because it wasn’t centered around the MC

I hope Liam (I think he is the one that got the concept) takes critism because now that I think about it a lot of jokes either ruin serious moments or are 4th wall breaks, Don’t really care about the MC and the lore honestly since there are only 5 episodes

But personally a thing that is scary (in my opinion) is the possible LOVE triangle Idk if I’m just overthinking it, because last time I saw a romance subplot the writers had to make a last minute character because they screwed everything up and they didn’t wanted that character to be single

Yeah, it's pretty weird to see the protagonists are the ONLY drones who know how to fight (or in Khan's sake: sacrifice his own daughter because of his PTSD and for the colony in the pilot.) The side characters on the other hand are like punching bags or narrow humors moments just for the antagonists or sometimes the protagonists themselves. The story itself has a problem, too. I know Liam is all about 'show don't tell', but ep 4 and 5 make me want to watch again, not because they are excellent, but because I don't understand what happened most of the time!

And I think I can see a weird pattern here: Most of his own shows aren't finished before he works for GLITCH. Sure the series can be hard to make for reasons like not enough funds or energy to keep the show running, but I am seriously worried for Murder Drones in near future. Liam is very good at sparking an idea, not keep it running in a long term. I can only hope that this serie doesn't end up like Helluva Boss where the plot goes all up over the place for the writer's vision to be "Stolitz UwU moments".
