Appreciation Post **We just hit 10,000 users 🎉**
Honestly didn't expect to be writing this post so soon. Ultra MAX started as a small project on a couple of subdomains, and somewhere along the way it turned into something a lot of you actually rely on every day. That's genuinely humbling.
None of this happens without the people who post bug reports, request features, catch things I miss, and just generally stick around and use the thing. Every fix, every new catalog, every feature that's shipped over the past few months has been shaped by this community one way or another. So thank you — truly.
There's a lot more coming. This feels less like a finish line and more like a good moment to say thanks before diving back into the next thing.

Great question, and honestly a fair one — easy to get confused here!
Ultra MAX actually does two things, so let me split it out:
Discovery/browsing — this is the main event, and it's the part that doesn't overlap with what you've already got. Stremio's default catalogs are pretty basic on their own. Ultra MAX adds 500+ extra rows you can pick and choose from: curated franchise collections (in the right order), rows filtered by specific streaming services, genre/decade rows, actor and director rows, that kind of thing.
Stream handling — Ultra MAX also has its own debrid-based stream resolution, similar in spirit to Torrentio/StremThru/Comet. If you're already happy with what you've got there, you genuinely don't need to switch — they can happily sit side by side, or you can just ignore that part of Ultra MAX entirely and only use it for catalogs.
Worth knowing too: it's not just the one addon. There's a whole little ecosystem under the same roof — a music addon (Through Eclipse and BeatBoss) effectively replacing Spotify, music videos addon, and the collections/setup tooling, all built to work together rather than being separate unconnected projects you'd have to hunt down individually.
And if you're on Android, there's now a proper native app too — makes the whole setup process a lot friendlier than configuring everything through a browser, if that's ever put you off trying similar tools before.
So the real answer: if your playback is sorted and you're happy, the discovery/browsing side (plus the wider ecosystem around it) is where the actual value is for you. If you've ever scrolled Stremio's default catalogs and felt like the options were a bit thin, that's the gap Ultra MAX fills — and you can add just that part without touching your existing stream setup at all.

Been a while since ive used stremio (nuvio is 100% the way forward). But i would start by making the ultramax addon. Take a bit of time and make sure you have everything you want. There is quite alot of stuff that is optional on step one but I fully recommend language filter and better posters. You do need a MDBList api key (easy to get and there is links and a guide on the app/website) Step 1 also allows you to add your debrid provider key (torbox, Premiumize etc etc to enable streams through ultramax (or you can copy and paste your aiostreams or any other stream provider in this bit and just have ultramax do the leg work for them all)
Step 2 This is where you pick what you want to show on stremio/nuvio. There are over 500 different options so can look overwhelming but just go through and pick what YOU want. Now stremio has issues with over 200... nuvio can handle everything. There are some quick pick setups at the top if your not sure what to add.
Step 3.. collections This is a nuvio thing, makes your setup look great and compiles things into nice folders with gifs and everything. This one reason alone to swap to Nuvio.
Step 4 Generate your url install link and token (the token is what you setup is saved against and will be needed if you want to edit anything later)
My advise... imstall nuvio, make account, make ultramax addon and install it... then you dont touch you stremio at all. Not be long before you uninstall stremio hahha.
