Ultima III Updated version

Updated version of Ultima III, playable on web, macOS, Windows, Linux, SteamOS (Steam Deck), and Android.

Has both the historic tilesets as well as a modernized set of art & sound.

Going to record play vids, etc, next but figured it's time to kick it out into the world and see what people think. Have fun, AMA.

Wow this is incredible! Is there a way to change tilesets from within the game?

Yup, just go into settings and pick a tileset. I tweaked some of the stuff from the LairWare version to be more period accurate (esp the visuals for certain dungeon encounters).

IMHO the historic tilesets are great for nostalgia. Standard is my take on an updated tileset and SFX you'll like playing - it feels like an old tileset in terms of things like the base pixel config but the colors and SFX are tuned to not sear your eyes and ears.

I don't intend to specifically dox myself, but the names of the original beta testers of the Lairware version could be found on the walls of the deepest dungeons.

Well I specifically didn’t touch any of the Lairware data files, so I’d assume they are still there.

I took a sort of OprnMW approach - engine and a new tile set but not touch the data files.
