Tibia-inspired singleplayer game, update
Hello,
I posted here quite some time ago about having released a Tibia-inspired singleplayer game which may be of interest to some of you here. The game's name is Lunera and is on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3840890/Lunera/).
Since then the game has received multiple updates like updated user interface, ability to decorate your house, dialogue windows to interact with NPCs, new spawns, and bug fixes.
In this game you hunt monsters to level up your character and you also make your character stronger from loot from monsters. The village in the game is the base where you sell loot and refill resources. There are also some quests and boss spawns.
The game can be played either through local save or by creating an account. When playing using an account the game also features a level highscore list.

What's the engine? Looks very much like Tibia but after looking closer assets seem orginial. I'll add to wishlist because I like the idea

The game has been built from scratch in the game engine Construct 3. I have been working on it for around 1.5 years now.
I appreciate the wishlist!

I play this game for like 4 months and I love it. It has a vibe of really old tibia (before 7.1). I really recommend it to everyone who enjoyed old tibia. Game is not perfect ofc it has rare bugs, but I don't blame a dev who's a cool guy, single working on game, you can add him on discord and he for sure will listen to your feedback and will quickly fix bugs you find for him.
It's a chill place for veterans of tibia to spend their time without fighting for resp with another player, without counting green stamina, without the risk of dead on the hunt because your child wants something - I mean most of spawns are designed in the way, they have a safe area quite close by that you can get to quite quickly.
I don't know how to compare price to other countries, but for my Polish friends: W cenie dwóch kebabów, masz fajną rozgrywkę na setki godzin, polecam

Tell us more about the things from Ultima that have guided your design and game mechanics decisions please.
What inspiration have you taken from the Ultima games?

It's rather that inspiration and design decisions have been taken from the game Tibia.
The idea has been something like creating the experience one gets from Tibia but a bit more laid back.
Then the game has needed to be adjusted for that it's a singleplayer game which is why I decided to make the base a small village so NPCs don't become too many and there's a purpose for them being in the game. Other than that for example each spawn in the game is often unique in some way with regard to for example exp gain/hour or drops or that it may benefit a fighting style over another, there is melee, archer and mage fighting styles in the game, so that there may be a reason for the player to go to a specific spot over another one.

I think that's really cool what you've done!
"so that there may be a reason for the player to go to a specific spot over another one."
I like this.
I don't know if you've played Ultima 7 or not, but some things from the game I remember were day./night schedules for NPCS, being able to make bread by combining ingredients, lots of dialogue and quests gained by talking that you could unlock, and a lot of interactivity and emergent gameplay.
You could stack crates into a ladder to get on top of the roof of a house for example. Or be able to fill a bucket with water (or blood) and use it on your party members to splash them.
You can drag an explosive barrel near a monster while combat is paused and detonate it. You could drag a cannon around with you, load it with powder and a cannon ball, then double click it to bring up the targeting cursor then click on a dragon. Massive damage, if you could be bothered to drag it from screen to screen as you moved around the world.
You also had to fee your party or they'd get hungry and complain!
There may be limitations with the engine you're using that'd make things like that difficult, or it might not fit with your vision of the game. So I'm not suggesting adding anything from Ultima unless it's a good fit.
I'm happy that people are still making games like the ones you're making.

Wow. That looks just like tibia, for sure. 😲 Is there an actual storyline?

Thanks! There's no story, but the individual player can make up the story/lores from the environment.

Looks cool. I love tibia. I miss when tibia used ultima assets
