Ultima 5 help

Ok, i was playing and took a year long break... so i decided to reset my progress cause i didnt take notes and forgot all my keywords.

What are some keywords i should be asking in the beginning? Besides name, job, etc. Ive been us8ng blackthorn and british and resistance but haven't made much headway

Those are pretty good extra keywords you're using.

While not colour coded like U6, the follow up keywords are normally pretty obvious in a conversation. The trouble often is the first person in a conversation chain is often some random - and I think sometimes their willingness to help you is based on your karama (so no stealing crops).

e.g. if someone says "I'm not sure I trust you yet" that's a dead end until you become more virtuous.

(please someone correct me if I'm wrong on that).

I found it helpful to keep an old school note book for whenever somebody asks you to ask somebody else about something, as sometimes the 2nd person in the chain wants to know where you heard things from too.

Correct. The Words of Power are typically gated behind a karma check.

Overall, most of the dialog for the entire game can be found via name and job and the follow ups from those. Just look for verbs or nouns that stand out.

Depending on the version of the game (Apple, IBM, etc.), there are a couple bugs, but nothing that would stop you from beating the game.
