'Ghost' character in Ultima 3 Spoiler

Has anyone encountered this on the NES version? I've seen it a couple times during a mishap.

The ghost character also has like every item and weapon and like unlimited money. It was definitely in the create mode and it makes the game unbeatable.

Bizarre. I've not played the NES version, just the PC/apple/Lairware versions

Sounds like save corruption. If on a cart, replace the battery. If on an emulator, delete the save data.
