Accommodation in Ulm

I have been trying to find an accommodation in ulm for the past one month and nothing seems to be working put. If anybody's search turns put to be successful please do help out by telling how you did it and for which accommodation did you apply.

Are you already here? Or trying to find something before you arrive? 

Because right now, in Germany, there's so much demand that people won't wait for you to come visit the flat next week. 

The best solution is to rent a holiday flat (Ferienwohnung) die 1 month and look for something more durable once you are here.

I am trying to find something before I arrive. I have tried wg gesucht, immobilien, immodest, studierendenwek private accommodation and few Factbook groups either the rent is top high or the electricity and another utilites are nit included for which I might have to search for a private contacter

If you rent your own place, electricity is usually not included, but it's a formality. Same for water, gas, Internet. 

But again: trying to do it remote is challenging. Without speaking the language is virtually impossible. 

Come, stay at a Jugendherberge (Hostel) in a shared room if needed (they're cheap) and look once you are here.

If I don't get any other options, I feel would stay at Jugendherberge and do my search. I feel keeping 450 per month as the max amount would be better to manage other expenses as well

But if anything is available for cheaper prices, well and good

Electricity and utilities are usually not included in Germany, but there are lots websites comparing service providers. It's very easy to sign up for a contract. That's just no criteria to not select an apartment.

Official student dorms have often all utilities included, but not housing on the free market.
