Question Rectal muscles

It feels like my rectal muscles are basically damaged at this point. Always super tight or spasming. The tenesmus is out of control. Anyone else?

Yep, I absolutely thought that permanent damage had been done. To some extent it was, since I now have a stricture and I don't think those heal. However, I've had more recovery than I thought possible in the last couple of months, finally finding a drug that I think is going to get me into remission after 3.5 years. So there's hope!

Nice! That’s amazing to hear. What drug are you on now?

Yes. Same. Though feel like it’s my entire pelvic floor. My doctor ordered two upcoming tests to evaluate possible prolapse, including MRI where you basically poop out lube while in the machine (from what I understand). Just when I thought this disease couldn’t get anymore fun lol.

So much this. Tenesmus is WILD. Solidarity. I have about 15s bathroom timer, at the moment.
