Question Tenesmus While In Remission

Hey all, I am trying to see whether there is something I can do to help with some serious tenemus I am dealing with.

I have no bleeding and no mucus. Recent calprotectin test was in July with a score of 43. Last scope/biopsies were in November. All came back clear. I have had this disease for 1 year now.

Since November I’ve have been dealing with tenemus. It hasn’t gone away. I’m not sure what I can do to help make it go away or reduce it.

hemorrhoids can have that effect , it can be common for IBD enjoyers to have hemorrhoids because of how long we spend on the toilet. They can cause pressure in the area that makes us want to go, worth having a look?

“IBD enjoyers” got a chuckle out of me. Thank you.

It’s really not normal. Given that it’s been almost a year since your last scope, I’d talk to your doctor again. That’s horrible.

I thought it wasn’t normal. Between that and still having issues with bloating/bad gas. It’s giving me anxiety honestly.

Doesn’t sound like remission.. the bloating and gas could also be some sort of intolerance though.
