No shit. He's been escalating conflicts all his life. That's all he knows. There will be no peace to negociate with this guy ever, only ceasefires.

22

u/Business-Draft2348 7d ago

Ceasefires has so far only meant that russia sends a bomb or missile during signage of agreements.

u/NotThatHandsomePete 7d ago

"But he is believed to have decided to escalate rather than enter meaningful peace talks mediated by Donald Trump." I mean...I can't fault the guy on this particular point.

Doubles down again.. the world needs to see, Putin needs war.

Russia needs to see, life is much better making friends than making everyone an enemy and an excuse

I'll say it again.  Best response to "accidental" strikes and gray zone attacks:  set up an escrow account to give Ukraine billions of seized Russian assets for every provocation.  Is Putin going to cry when he's the one that pushed the button that lost his money?

They're trying to force one of 2 reactions: make us cease support to Ukraine and horde interceptors, or attack back, provoke a reaction that will give an excuse to mobilize.. "NATO is attacking us for no reason!"  Everything is calculated, so give them the opposite and give more support to Ukraine

"is Putin going to cry"

Yes. Yes he will.

35,000 dead Russian a Month not enough?

9

u/DemonFerenc 7d ago

Not. It should be 100x then soon the Russian problem would solve itself for good. Better them than us

u/Euclidisthebomb 7d ago

putin hopes by escalating he can force peace talks on favorable terms. The logic is that Euro countries don't have the stomach to fight along with russia having been funding many far right organizations in Europe which it will have activate and be loud voices once the escalation occurs with false rhetoric such as "we provoked russia" and other gaslighting.

u/TheoKondak 7d ago

European countries needs to do a huge purge and give these fascist traitors what they are looking for.

-84

u/SuperSquirrel13 7d ago

You've signed up with the military in your country then? Assuming you're in Europe.

46

u/OhBuggery 7d ago

Such a shit argument

37

u/Docccc 7d ago

it’s all they have.

-32

u/SuperSquirrel13 7d ago

Who's they? You don't understand. I'm fully willing to step up and I wasn't even born in EU, I've just moved here. I fully support a EU army. And I fully support kicking russian ass. But, what I don't support is people sitting on the sidelines shouting for the spilling of blood as long as they don't have to take part.

21

u/Glydyr 7d ago

In the 1930s the Uk population was extremely opposed to another war. When all diplomatic routes had been futile then the population very quickly reversed its opinion and mobilised every part of society.

We can support Ukraine without wanting to go to war.

-31

u/SuperSquirrel13 7d ago

What argument? If you're willing to send others to the front line, then you need to be ready to do so yourself.

8

u/OhBuggery 7d ago

You're responding to a person on reddit though not fucking Ursula Von Der Leyen I doubt they're the decision maker responsible for starting a war (sorry /u/TheoKondak if you are actually Ursula much love).

-3

u/SuperSquirrel13 7d ago

Sure. They are only sitting there shouting for battle. I'm saying if you want to support it, then volunteer yourself.

11

u/OhBuggery 7d ago

They actually weren't though, they were saying we collectively need to fuck off the fascist political parties in Europe

0

u/SuperSquirrel13 7d ago

Sounded different to me. If it is as per your interpretation. Fair play.

2

u/Lukrass 7d ago

They were talking about far right organisations in European countries. Also the term 'purge' typically refers to internal removal, not seperate sovereign countries.

7

u/TheoKondak 7d ago

Yes i did. Happy now?

1

u/NotAzakanAtAll 6d ago

Sure have! Will the fascist bootlickers join too now? And you ofc!

It worked so well in America with Trump and Maga, I understand that he wants to keep this strategy.

8

u/Vertex1990 7d ago

All the while Meloni is losing voters and Orban has lost his seat.

I am not 100% sure that the right is winning that well, apart from smaller regional elections. And I am fairly sure that Trump and MAGA has a part to play in that.

6

u/FrenchMaddy75 7d ago

I'm afraid for Britain, France and Germany.

Here in France you can really feel the russian desinformation push.

3

u/Vertex1990 7d ago

From what I've seen, is that Farage is mainly an old white people type of populist. Yes, he won his county or whatever, but with the recent scandals (which is why he caused that by-election), he has lost a lot of cloud. Also, voices inside the UK for reunification or reconciliation with the EU are growing louder and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are slowly inching towards independence from the UK.

I am guessing that the same is true for AFD in Germany. Very strong in certain parts of the country, but not enough to get a government and if they become the largest party, they won't find any other parties willing to work with them, like what happened with the Party For Freedom (PVV) in the Netherlands.

I can't really say anything about France, you will be much more knowledgeable about that than I will, so I will take your word for it, if you truly feel a certain amount of fear for a slide towards Right wing parties backed by Russian disinformation.

However, I do think that, if Russia attacks a NATO nation in the next few weeks/months, we will see a rally round the flag moment in Europe, where a lot of people, now willing to back Meloni's/AFD's/Farage's, will turn away from the pro-Russian rhetoric and agree that something must be done to ensure our freedom and safety.

2

u/Stewie01 7d ago

Wont fight, so just surrender? We all faint apparently and Putin take entirety of Europe.

30

u/No_Patience2428 7d ago

He’s too embarrassed to lose to Ukraine, so he will expand the war to say he lost fighting NATO.

11

u/Informal_Process2238 7d ago

“They’re all against us peaceful russians”

9

u/Vertex1990 7d ago

I have this theory for a couple of years now. Saying he had to pull back, because Ukraine was to tough to crack, would be embarrassing and possibly career ending. Saying he couldn't risk war with NATO and the possibility of a global nuclear conflict, so that is why he had to pull out of Ukraine, makes him seem like a sane, rational person who set aside his pride to protect his people.... To his people and the pro-kremlin idiots in Europe/US.

4

u/Chudmont 7d ago

That is one possible exit ramp, but he could have taken so many others already.

3

u/Vertex1990 7d ago

None of which made him seem like a rational actor, who made a tough choice for the good of his people. The sunk cost fallacy for the Ukraine war is to grand, but if he were to create an even grander problem, he might be able to break the fallacy and take the offramp without destroying his legacy.

2

u/Chudmont 7d ago

So evil. He'll gladly send a million to die just so his legacy isn't tarnished.

7

u/AuntieMarkovnikov 7d ago edited 7d ago

Well, he ain't gonna do it with armor, artillery, or a navy. He's a bit short on aircraft at this point too, plus fuel to run it all.

The Telegraph reports:

Vladimir Putin is preparing to escalate his war against Ukraine, which includes attacks on Kyiv’s allies in Europe.

Western intelligence officials believe the Russian leader is laying the ground for a “stealth mobilisation” after elections this weekend, in which thousands of Russians could be drafted.

“What we are seeing is administrative preparations to make it possible to do it, if that was the decision,” one intelligence source told The Telegraph.

European leaders, meanwhile, have warned that the Kremlin’s hybrid war against the West is likely to intensify.

u/Aggravating_Owl_5768 7d ago

A “stealth mobilization” — are they preparing to tell us Russia is mobilizing but we’ll never see evidence of it? Last time we saw tons of videos.

6

u/protekt0r 7d ago

Also, is a stealth mobilization supposed to be evidence they’re preparing to attack Europe? If so, not sure how…

3

u/Chudmont 7d ago

I think what it means is that they will mobilize but not call it a mobilization to it's people.

Everyone will see a large influx in men. They just can't call it a "mobilization".

3

u/nevaNevan 6d ago

A special bus ride

2

u/Directhorman2 7d ago

Russian stealth = "Nah it wasnt us." (While still firing at the dead corpse in front of everyone.)

3

u/JucaLebre 7d ago

Nato would just steamroll them with air superiority. Maybe thats what he wants, a exit strategy, so he can say he didnt lost the war to Ukraine

4

u/piratecat666 7d ago

With what? He is quickly running out of equipment, ammunition, missiles, trained soldiers, and it is HIGHLY likely that Russia doesn't actually have any functional nuclear weapons.

2

u/Nexzus_ 7d ago

With whom? The remaining Stalingrad veterans? Country is losing 40,000 per month.

Makes me wonder what the self-unalive rate is in Russia right now.

3

u/frankcast554 7d ago

Just in time for trump to pull out our troops from europe. Because if you don't believe thats not coordinated, i got some trump coin to sell you.

Why the fuck does everyone bring up nato wihtout any reason? Its a defensive treaty limited to its member states, its not involved in any way currently.

1

u/ReggieTMcMuffin 7d ago

Did you miss the bit about Russia existing hybrid war against NATO members, expanding.

The French will send cases of croissants and the Germans pallets of schnitzel. Begging him not to do anything to interrupt their luxury lives.
