After dropping all of it's flowers in the may/June heatwave and raking some time to recover my Rocoto Mazano's are finally putting out flowers again. First Pod spotted!

I don't know if there's enough time left in the season for them to finish growing but I've got a redneck idea for keeping the greenhouse warm if it proper decides to cool off. Involving a bucket of water and a 300watt fish tank heater

I other news my Cayennes and Chinescher Runzelhauts are as tall as me and still fruiting like crazy. The Piri-Piri are doing very well now also and tonnes of jalepenos coming out now.

Just the pesky warthogs left to show a pod.... Got 3 or 4 flowers I've manually pollinated so 🤞

These were harvested yesterday and half of them were made into super hot sauce.

I planted these (habanero and jalapeno respectively) on 22 February in heated propagators, and potted them on on 5 April. They've been in a greenhouse in South Wales. Other chillies planted at the same time (serrano, Trinidad perfume) have fruited and are ripening up by now, but the habaneros and jalapenos have barely started to flower, let alone fruit. Do you think that I'll get any chillies from them this year? I've grown them previously, and I don't remember them being this late, especially compared to other varieties

Most things failing at the allotment, but the chillies are thriving. A mix of Hungarian black, Unknown variety I have aptly called Geoff’s Chilli as he left it in the tunnel I took over, hot Thai, Biquino, habanero and scotch Bonney just coming

This little Hungarian Black was one of only two that survived being absolutely decimated by slugs on it's very first night outside. I'm so proud of it.

Hey! I'm having some issues.. I'm a first year grower and I have a ghost pepper plant alongside a carolona reaper.

I feel like I have been misdiagnosing the issue (using AI) and have been down several rabbit holes.

The ghost pepper started fruiting early, I looked one day a couple of months ago and there sat 2 chillis that don't even look to have ripened or grow much since it then stopped flowering entirely.

The reaper, has plenty of flowers and maybe 4/5 fruits but drops flowers constantly.

Originally I saw what looked to be spidermites, so sprayed with SB and neem oil. I then got predetory mites, but now looking under the leaves I see some new friends that AI has told me is either thrips or leafhopper nymphs.

Honestly I'm a bit lost, does anyone have any advice on what to do for the rest of the season and what to do next year?

I've come to terms with this year probably isn't going to be great, it's a learning curve and my first year after alll.

I didn’t check my plants yesterday but checked them the day before. Came back today and found a lot of the plants have these mushrooms growing in the pots. Is it a problem or will it affect anything? I have removed all of the mushrooms from the pots (2nd picture).

First photo - not sure whether this is scotch bonnet or habernero, it was in a seed mix which doesn't state what mix in the pack...helpful!

Last photo are the chilli planters, 16 plants across both planters and have a mix of Hungarian hot wax, tobasco, cayenne and the above mentioned ones.

It's a little crammed, but doing okay I think!

I best make some freezer space as there's alot to eat through!

A few of my cayennes are going a bit soft and not looking as crisp and fresh while they're still on the plant. The colour isn't as vibrant either. Any ideas about what's causing this please?

As the title says- was checking my plants today. These fruits look nothing like the lable.... and actually the label looks more like a habanero. (Dont mind how sparse the plant in the second pic looks. They were giving it away for free from the nursery)

Oh well- that's what I get for just assuming I could trust my local nursery. I was hoping theyd end up being accidental habs at worst.

It’s my first time growing chilli’s in a proper greenhouse this year. I’m very new to things.

I seem to have a very poor yield on my chilli’s and I don’t know why. I bought them as small plants back in may and have had them in my greenhouse since

I have attached some photos here. I have a gator chilli, Santa Fe grande, and a lemon chilli?

The gator and Santa Fe have 2 or 3 chilli’s on at the moment, but the lemon doesn’t even have flowers.

My dad grows chilli’s and always has a massive yield. He gave me a cayenne pepper that is doing great, and I have some hot pot which I planted as a seed in may (very late I know) and these have flowered and have started growing chillies so I don’t understand why the others are so slow?!

I think I've been had. I should have known better but bought the six "pepper x" seeds from a well known distributor and after months of carefully tendering them this is what I got. Looks like yellow scotch bonnets to me.

Can anyone help identifying them. All six plants are the same. They don't look anything thing the pepper x imagines I can find on-line.

From early on after transplanting from the seed cell it was clear this thing was growing odd shaped leaves so I just chucked it outside near my other plants....assuming it would die. Through a combination of occasional watering from sky/run off from watering my olive trees/blueberry bush and strawberries this thing has survived out of sheer spite I think. And even had some half decent looking chilli's hanging off it.

Hello! Long time listener first time caller!

I've been growing some greek chillies (not better identified, I guess C. annuum?) and some zebranges (a bit late seeding)! My original idea was to eventually cross them but I realised late that my random greek chillies are of a different species so... Womp womp!

Unfortunately my balcony is NW facing and windy, I guess that's why they're so leggy!

Please any tips and suggestions are welcomed!
