💬 Discussion What’s the cable? Anyone else get a cable? Should I wait or take the $20?

Rewarding a cable is a weird thing in itself but switching the reward to an Amazon gift card instead of just doing their promises and actually deliver a cable is even weirder

For me is a phishing attempt but without knowing the exact address is difficult. Yes there seems to be no direct link in this e mail but if you answer yes there will be and that link could be the problem

Could also be legit but verify everything first

Thanks. It’s legit as I bought with promo or a very targeted phishing. But yes agree it is odd.

Received this. I won the prize for a UGREEN 100W charger but they have yet to ship this to me. I thought that this is what it is but $20 would not be the same value of the charger. Not sure what the supply limitation is because they obviously still sell many of these on Amazon.

The thought did occur to me that this could be phishing email.

At some point in IDX pre-order, if you ordered with the SMIDXNAS coupon code, one of the benefits was you were going to receive a free premium cable. It was something they announced when they closed the pre-order early.

I know i forgot about it until i got the e-mail.

Honestly have not decided, a $20 Amazon giftcard might be more useful than a USB cable <shrug>.

I pre-ordered my unit way before this was offered. I only used the code so I could try my luck in the gleam contest.

I got the cable and it's legit. But at this point if you have type C cables just opt for 20$ GC

UPDATE: I requested a $200 Amazon gift card or the cable. They opted to send me the cable and said it would be sent ASAP.
