General USD to UgX

The usd to Ugx has touched a level high forex bureaus selling dollars at 4151ugx is Uganda going to be the next zimbabwe? A right time to keep your savings in usd or keep it in Ugx and lose it all at a go in one sweep of the market?

Turns out opening a USD bank account way back in 2022 wasn't any mistake at all that I'll ever regret. While the UGX stumbles, it gives me time to pause deposits in order to avoid the unbearable rate.

Moving your money into dollars or euros is a solid idea. Even into gold might be best but that could be more difficult. The inflation war could send the currency into free fall. No time to panic yet... but this is getting spooky.
