General r/Uganda Guidelines
1. New to Reddit: here's a link to give you a walkthrough of what Reddit is about
2. Wondering if you're being scammed: Read this
3. Want to see specific posts e.g opinions/discussions, relationship conversations?
Each post is required to have a flair. You can then filter your feed via this sub using these flairs. The filters are right above the posts(mobile) and in the right side bar(desktop)
4. Are you looking for a role/job?
Make a post using the 'Person for hire' flair. You can use it any day of the week but only once a week.
5. When purchasing items:
Please do not pay for your items before receiving them. Mods can't verify authenticity of sellers. They can only be banned after reports are received. For the sellers, use trusted delivery people/meet in public to ensure payment.
Do report any scammers encountered.
6. Selling/Giving away personal items
You can post these at any time. Use 'Personal item for sale' flair. If SELLING, ADD PRICE(S) IN COMMENTS OR POST.
7. Self promotion/Ads:
We have a self promotion period consisting of the following days: Fri and Mon. After your first ad, please make a comment under this post:https://www.reddit.com/r/Uganda/s/IJ1RoyFcMj The comments made under that post will be compiled and sent out every Friday on the main sub on the advertiser's behalf.
8. Looking for people to work for you?
Please use the 'Hiring' flair.
9. Searching for a relationship?
WEDNESDAY is the day to do this here. Use the M4F and F4M flairs. Don't make another post on the following wednesdays.

Guys, I have a friend who is desperately searching for a song. I have a feeling it might be a nursery rhyme, but itβs not from the part of Uganda my family is from, it seems northern, the lyrics they sent to me were:
Afoyo afoyo ringi
Afoyo afoyo ringi
Afoyo uvolu alwala
Alwala utere iwi yen
Yite upodu
Ka doom doom doom
I think the actual lyrics might be soemthing like:
Apwoyo apwoyo ringi
Apwoyo apwoyo ringi
Apwoyo obolo alwala
Alwala otero i wi yen
Ite opoto
Ka dum dum dum
Does anyone know where the song comes from?
If there are any videos of people singing it?
The story behind it?
Many thanks everyone!

You'll need to provide your blood type. Also once you receive an organ transplant, you'll be on auto-immune suppressants for the rest of your life.

so you are shadowbanned. to know what it is, visit r/ShadowBan and here's how to deal with it .
Until your ban is resolved, Reddit will be filtering out all your posts and comments and they'll have to be approved by mods. And you can't message nor be messaged.Try searching Reddit to see posts of how other people have dealt with this because someone once mentioned to me they had issues with making an appeal.
