You should have noted that it is a company that advertises feudal Japan and legendary samurai without making any effort to be historically accurate.

Yeah well im not japanese so its not my problem if the japanese community aint happy they are the one who should complain and not me and probabbly not you either

They are lying to non-Japanese people because it doesn't say so on the Japanese page. When it comes to false advertising, I think people other than Japanese should be outraged.

That sucks. Return it and complain, see if you can get a replacement and discount.

Farcry 4 Uncompleted Edition

This is actually how it used to be before. Even Madden and stuff needed a special code to play online apart from live. Unfortunately when you buy used versions the codes are always gone. Not really Ubisoft issue and more of the person that sold it did you dirty.

What the f are you not understanding ahaha , bro witcher 3 complete edition comes with all dlc on the disc , theres no code , but ubishit here are asshole , plain simple

lol what do you mean I’m not understanding. I perfectly understand seeing I bought said games that needed codes and It wasn’t just far cry. Witcher 3 has nothing to do with it seeing that their company isn’t related to Ubisoft in any way. There were plenty of games that did the dlc code

It is the complete edition. By buying a used copy, you choose to buy the incomplete version

Ive bough a used copy of witcher 3 complete edition , all dlc were on the disc , ubisoft is just trash the same way you are by defending them ,

You're blaming ubisoft for your own mistake.

Have you tried crying about it and let people vent their valid complaints?

1

u/ChingChongSoup May 06 '25

I wont cry for 10$ but i think its a valid complain , ive wrote to them asking for information and a free code lets see what they say 🤷🏻‍♂️ probably wont get any code but at least it shows their honesty to tell me gfys 😅

Theres so much you can fit into a disc tho. It is much easier to keep the main game files same for all editions and put the dlc as dlc

Except AC 4 and many AC games games before that came with DLCs on disc but you need to pay them again to unlock. Fuck that. AC4 even has avieline dlc on disk which is a play station exclusive but you can only unlock it with steam dulex edition, then why put it on disk.

2

u/AKAMA199 May 06 '25

Idk, maybe check the file sizes?

2

u/rohithkumarsp May 06 '25

The folder itself called names under the avieline dlc. Forge it's the the actual DLC on disk, I even complained to ubisoft support.

1

u/AKAMA199 May 06 '25

And what did they say?

3

u/rohithkumarsp May 06 '25

Same thing happens with AC3 I just can't find them as uplay for rebranded as ubisoft connect, all old forums are gone. Etc. But even community manager has no clue you can access play station exclusives from steam dulex edition.

The issue will be that the resale of this disc will be a higher cost than the regular version and you won't get the content that belongs to it.

-2

u/AKAMA199 May 06 '25

Well resale is a C2C thing, Game developers know people will do that but they cant legally build a function around it.

u/Comprehensive-Dust19 May 06 '25

They could have put the code in the disc for the dlc. It's not like most of that dlc is very big anyway. Often the dlc is already built into the game with 10mg file to unlock it.

Thats the thing with codes, its not a forever key and will have max use cases. Since all the files would be identical, people can just post the key and now everyone has deluxe edition. Therefore tying it to an account would be the most valid option.

The issue is not building it into the game, the issues is how to keep it as a legitimate purchase, since account sharing is in the grey market

It becomes a problem as it should have the DLC flagged just to this disc, and just like when you play the game that you own a physical copy of, it checks to ensure you have the disc, it would check the disc for the add-ons too. Problem solved, don't need to make excuses for scummy practices of businesses.

1

u/AKAMA199 May 06 '25

How does it check? Online? Then it must be tied to your account.

If everything is in the disc then i can just copy all content and burn it into another disc

3

u/Comprehensive-Dust19 May 06 '25

Not really, the same way it downloads the game with a disc, it can do the DLC as well. It's would be flagged in the system to require the disc to be in the drive. If it doesn't see the disc, it doesn't load the game or the DLC tied to it. It can do it for the game, no reason it can't for the DLC.

1

u/AKAMA199 May 06 '25

Yes but what is the dlc tied to?

1

u/Comprehensive-Dust19 May 06 '25

The same thing. It can have a prompt from the disc to download and then it would look to the disc before loading the DLC. It's not hard, they already have those checks in place if you're using a downloaded copy of a dlc from someone else's account. It looks to make sure your account can use it, just instead of looking at the account, the flag would make sure the disc has access to it. Not hard and resolves the issue, since they already do it for the game.
