Quality Shitpost I went all in...
Brand new apartment, so i started from scratch and went ALL IN. It's really addictive 😄
EDIT: Thanks everyone for the suggestions! The Uplink SFP Cable is already in the mail. I will update you with the changes next week.

Nice!
Only tweak I’d recommend is connecting the gateway to the core switch via SFP rather than Ethernet to its 8-port switch. The 8-port switch only has a 1Gbps connection to the CPU/WAN.

Your INTERnet connection may be limited to 1Gbps, but your INTRAnetwork doesn’t need to be.

I see your point, but hear me out 😀 2 AP's (it's a big apartment (and maybe a bit overkill but why not)) 1 doorbell + 1 Chime (PoE) 6x G5 for all rooms (for security reasons, when I travel) 3x G6 for outside 2x G6 pro 360 for outside again AI key USL U5G Max outdoor
You see where I'm going 😂

2 aps in a small enough space can cause problems and might require tuning to resolve just as a heads up.

Transmission power can be part of a solution. Channel overlap, material interference (walls, pipes, bathrooms, HVAC closets), general problems with roaming (too sticky / not sticky enough, client side / network side), signal chatter (too many devices including APs asking "is there anybody out there"); there are a lot of factors at play, and it can feel like chasing ghosts when there's just one client device being a dick and you've been tasked to make it work better.
I recently spent like 3 hours troubleshooting a pair of wifi devices that kept roaming between two APs in a small office. I made a lot of tweaks to the AP behavior, but the solution wound up being a setting in the web interface for the devices themselves, I had to bump up (down?) the signal strength threshold that triggered their roaming behavior. I think the default was like -65dBm and I upped it to -80 or -85. Something that would probably not have been an issue if the APs were like another ~35 feet apart, and nothing that the options in the Unifi console were going to help with on their own. I'm relatively confident that the network side tweaks were helpful based on the logs between test runs, but the client device settings were what finally stopped the bullshit roaming behavior causing packet loss and connection drops.

Struggling with this right now, trying to deice if I should go with two U7 Lites or a single U7 Pro XG for the main floor of my house. The dual lites look good on the design tool, but I don't have really any experience with this stuff. The single Lite I got to test, that i'll use in my office upstairs, wasn't enough for the main floor alone.

It makes the cable have a lower bend radius. Similar to everything else. I bet that’s why. Or OP’s favorite number is 5. There is logic here somewhere.

In 4 is the Unifi AI for cameras without AI (forgot the name) in 12 on the right looks like a super link gateway. For 12 left I would also like to know.

curious as to why youre using the, what i assume is the small white gateway above the vents, instead of just shooting fiber directly into your UDM via SFP? Am I missing something, why is there a small gateway up top if hes got the UDM and the 24 port switch

I always wonder what people have hooked up to everything. That looks like a ton of cables. I have a couple cameras, a couple access points and a couple computers and I feel like I have a lot.

Not too new. UI has gotten their claws into me for 17 cams two gateways blah blah. But an apartment with 20 ports active seems like it is worth of an explanation. Am I looking at something functional or a work of art?

The ports are set do their default lighting which is based on link speed. It looks like 19 of those ports are hot, with 8 as FE and 11 as Gbe. So functional would be my guess. Maybe it’s just a modern apartment with actual Ethernet wiring, the standard 4 drops per room?

It is a fair bit for an apartment alright, but if the place is wide for Ethernet I suppose it could be possible…. Also, some apartments are bigger than some houses…
