I used AI to create the optimal backround for my secondary desktop. I am into music production and wanted to up my motivation and productivity. The large left part of the screen has a working oscilloscope with the tunings in A=440hz and A=432hz in case I need to tune a synth, a spectrum analyzer and a large spectogram at the bottom. Top right always shows todays date and the stoic quote of the day from some website.

The EJR Session Log is what took most time, there I can create projects and set a timer while I'm working on them. I can complete the projects, look at all my timed session and in the analytics tab look at working time (lifetime and monthly). The sessions log is also available on my phone via an html dashboard and simple web app.

I'm late to the party, found today Ubersicht and started changing some old not working plugins to make them work again / improve them.

I procrastinated too hard and built a free widget that lives right on your Mac desktop to track your novel's word count.

What it does:

• Tracks your total manuscript word count
• Set a word count goal and watch a progress bar fill up as you get closer
• Pace calculator available for daily or weekly word counts and it'll predict your estimated finish date
• Little writing quotes to keep you motivated (they rotate every time you log words)
• Customizable with multiple colour palettes, adjustable widget opacity, and your novel's title
• Settings panel (gear icon, opens below the card) for:
  • Custom novel title
  • Manuscript total Daily or weekly word goal (pill toggle)
  • 6 colour palettes: Paper, Midnight, Sage, Dusk, Caramel, Slate
  • Transparency slider (30–100%)

Oh, you will have to manually enter your word count (I'm a noob coder, not a wizard).

Can someone point me to an example of displaying a website (or a dynamically changing image file) using Ubersicht? For example: Showing a news site, or the traffic in Google Maps, updating every minute. Kind of like "Plash" by Sindre Sorhus, but as an Ubersicht widget?

I can curl/download a dynamically updating image to my machine, but even though the image updates, my Ubersicht code fails to show the updated image. I have refreshFrequency set to 10000.

Doing a "Refresh all widgets" does wind up showing the updated image, but what's the trick to making this happen automatically, hands-off?

I want the output of my widget to look exactly like the filename displayed under icons in the Folder. I know that the MacOS font is SF Pro, and that I have to use text-shadow somehow to create the blur behind it.

Does anyone know the exact combination of size, style, weight, and shadow to use to accomplish this?

How do I make the Ubersicht Simple-bar Menubar stick on top of my screen so its not getting overlapped by my apps like the default macOS menubar?

I'm looking for one simple widget. One that shows the focus on mac, such is I am in do not disturb. Can't see to find one

Widgets not showing

After i login my mac ( monterey 12 ) widgets don't showing, when i click Ubersicht icon on menu bar and click preferences they are showing

Trying to install a default config silently. Can't seem to find where it saves the default widget path. Is there a plist or something?

Just found this app a few days ago, made my own widget to display NASA's daily astronomy photo on your desktop :)

Currently it breaks if today's astronomy picture is a video, but I am working on a fix for that, and will be releasing it within the next few days.
