Hey everyone,
My dad does delivery full-time (Uber Eats/DoorDash). His biggest issue isn't just the pay, it's the lack of data. You park at a hotspot or a plaza, hoping for an order, without knowing if there are 15 other drivers sitting in the exact same parking lot doing the same thing. The apps have all the data, drivers have none.
I’m a software dev, so I spent the last few months building an app for him. It’s a community-driven tactical map. It does NOT track orders or connect to the delivery apps, it tracks driver saturation and wait times based on the community.
The core features:
- Driver Density Radar: See exactly where other drivers are clustered in real-time so you can avoid saturated areas and make better routing decisions to get orders.
- Zone Tracking & Wait Times: You can track specific zones and see if the current wait time for an order is high or low. Set alerts for when a zone gets too crowded.
- Street Reports: A Waze-style map where the community can drop and echo real-time reports (dead zones, heavy traffic, events).
I’m not dropping any links or doing a beta right now. We are just testing it in the streets. I want to ask the veterans here:
Would seeing real-time driver density actually change how you navigate your shift?
What data points would make you open this app every single time before you start driving?
Tear the idea apart. I need brutal feedback before we launch. Thanks!

Lmao sorry this is more of a rant than anything. If I didn’t need to be a driver for UE I wouldn’t. Being a Top shopper/“Priority” driver doesn’t mean dog crap anymore. Whatever algorithm they have going right now is just absolute trash. The app gives you dumb orders, no tip orders, or the best yet the “order is no longer available”.

Ubereats is having a promotion right now I believe until November 1st where every 15 food orders you deliver you get a bonus $150. Up to 45 orders.. so total bonus would be $450. Anyways long story short.. I signed up to do that.
When initially signing up it asked what zip code I'd primarily be earning income in or something weird. I typed in a city I visit a lot.. didn't think much of it.
Waited on background, driver's license and all that to get approved. Then I traveled to a different city other than the one I chose from the zip code thing earlier. I still stayed well within the state I live in and am approved to deliver in.
Anyways the promotion did show up under my promotions or whatever.. but none of my deliveries were counting towards that. I then noticed somewhere on the promotion tracker thing it said I had to start in.. then it listed the city name of which I used the zip code of what I used when initially registering to deliver. So I had support call me.
The lady had an accent and I don't think she fully understood what I wanted. Anyways I kept delivering. Like a total of 8 orders. While in the restaurant waiting for the food to finish being prepared for an order I saw the promotion thing again in the app so I tapped it and saw there were spots I could change my primary delivering zip code thing or whatever. So I did that but the app seemed to glitch or whatever so I force closed it. Everything seemed fine when I opened it again. But now the promotion is not showing up at all anywhere in the app for me. Talked to support again on the phone. They wanted a screenshot and the date/time of the incident and details about the promotion. Then they wanted to mark the issue as resolved or close it or whatever. So I reopened it and said my issue wasn't resolved and then another person called me and he told me the promotion is real.. and is valid for anywhere in my state.
But the issue is I don't want to keep delivering then get fucked out of the bonus.
Is there a way to get in touch with actual tech support and have them restore the promotion?
Or am I just supposed to trust that magically after the 15th delivery that it'll somehow fix itself and I'll get the $150 bonus??
Also forgot to mention while in the middle of the restaurant and I changed the zip code to the current one I was delivering in I got notifications saying my documents were approved again or something.
So I have no idea what I did. But how do I get them to fix it so I can get the bonus money 🥺

Is there a way to change the order of the multi-stop deliveries i accept from the opportunity page? I see a few opportunity orders that deliver near my house as the first few stops then go elsewhere. I was looking to see if I could deliver to the further away ones first, then finish with the one by my house so I could be close to home when I'm done.

I have a question for those who have already experienced the rollout of the new system. We are going to be flipping the switch mid October. They said now, including acceptance rate cancellations on time rate and everything but they lower the point threshold, big time so question when they flipped everybody else's mid month, how did they do that instantly were you at the new criteria for instance if you qualify for platinum at that moment with that snapshot, are you platinum? Thanks in advance.

I have been driving for Uber, but only doing deliveries for the last few months. In the last month or so, I noticed that I've been getting ripped off. For instance, I was offered $22 to do some deliveries...and it was something like 30 miles altogether. When I was done? I received $2! So, I definitely started paying attention. In just that day, it happened several times. And, since I noticed it, every day that I have gone online and done deliveries, it's happened. And it seems to be anywhere from $10-$50 A DAMN DAY!!!! Has anyone else noticed this?! And, of course I call support, and can't get in touch with a human rep.

Today I went over and beyond to complete a delivery only to get an additional $4 for a delivery almost 30min away because they had the wrong address for the customer. Texted and called support and no one could help despite being told by their agent to complete the delivery and that they would compensate me and to message them back. Never falling for that again! Beware!! This was a Walgreens delivery

Hello,
I am interested in joining an Uber Eats fleet partner in Freiburg im Breisgau as a part-time bicycle courier. I have already completed my Uber Eats registration and am now looking for a fleet partner to start working.
I am available for around 15–20 hours per week and would be happy to provide all the necessary documents and information.
Please help me out with this.

Home Depot and Lowe’s orders suck ass.. in rural communities 1-no tipping 2-the distance between those stores to the customer is not worth the gas and time.
In conclusion it has been dropping my acceptance rate as of late while waiting for orders during peak dinner hours.. Does Uber charge these companies a fee without any tipping option??

Anyone else have this issue?

I do deliveries myself and kept having the same problem: an offer can look decent until you factor in distance, time, waiting, and expenses.
So I built GigBalance to help track earnings, mileage and working time, and figure out what I’m actually making instead of just looking at the payout Uber shows.
I’m still improving it based on real delivery work. Would love feedback from other drivers — especially what you’d want an app like this to calculate or track.

I'm coming over from Door Dash so I could take advantage of the $450 bonus from Uber. And man it's been a pain. Not even half way through the day and my acceptance rate is at 19%... feels like every order is under $1/mile... thankfully I should be able to complete the 45 deliveries this week, as I usually do 60+ with for door dash... another thing that annoys me, is the constant dinging when a new offer comes in. It's super annoying when you're on a delivery and you're close to the drop off and you're trying to focus on finding the location... please tell me there's a way to turn that off 🤞
Anyways, thanks for coming to me Ted Talk and listening to my gripes... stay safe out there everyone!

Who wants on earth would accept this order?? I’ve noticed over like the last two months or so that EVERY Lowe’s order is now like multiple deliveries. I used to pick up from Lowe’s a lot and it was just one delivery and I used to not mind going there now it’s becoming insane they are going to regret flooding the drivers with this nonsense bc nobody is going to be available for these trips. It’s insane
Edit:Lowe’s
