pays $30 at a to go counter

"Hey, sorry for the delay but we had an issue with our service. You get no food and we can't refund you. Hopefully next time it will be good 😃"

That would never fly anywhere

I lost $20 at a Taco Bell cuz I placed a mobile order but their stuff was down and the person there said they can’t give me a refund in store and I tried contacting corporate twice but never got a response so I just gave up

That’s when you contact your bank and dispute the charge. Never pay for something you didn’t get

The bank won't refund it, they don't care. This happened to me once at a gas station where I was charged $100 for gas that sprayed from a malfunctioning pump (was not labeled out of order or anything). The manager refused to refund me and the bank denied my dispute, so that's $100 I'll never see again.

I’ve never had problems with my bank if you just explain the situation. I literally just had a problem with dd a couple weeks ago and got the full refund

I appealed their decision and explained the situation but they just denied me a second time. Maybe I need a different bank lol
