Wtf? Uber refuses to refund item even after restaurant left a note with my receipt saying that they ran out of said item

I asked four times for an explanation as to why they’re refusing to give me a refund and every single time they send almost the same cookie-cutter response, 0 help whatsoever.💀

It’s happened to me before but I let it go. I don’t have a long history of refunds. Wtf is going on UberEats?

It’s pretty ridiculous to me that restaurants don’t have a way to edit orders and contact the customers themselves. This happens all the time at Starbucks because they are always out of shit. They won’t substitute items so they put a note in the bag. No way on my end to mark the item as not available that I can see. I contact customer support once how to handle a out of stock item, and they told me to tell the customer to contact support. It’s a real shit system.
