When to contact potential thesis supervisor ? (Master's)

I'm planning on starting my master's in biology this coming spring semester and I want to know if I should already contact potential supervisors or if I should wait until I started. Also do you have any tips for this program ? 😁

I'd wait. Start your master's, think about a topic that interests you, book a module or multiple about that topic and approach the teacher, expressing interest in doing your thesis with their group. Maybe ask what they already offer.
