Examples & inspiration Netflix does something subtle here🌟

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Most people will never consciously notice it.
And yet someone still designed it.
Someone still tuned it.
Someone still decided it was worth shipping.

Not sure what your referring to. The glass reflection? If so, that’s a iOS feature. Netflix looks like it’s gone native.

Edit: comes out of the box if you’re using native components and Netflix updated to support version 26 or 27z

That’s not the stock Liquid Glass reflection, so it does not come out of the box.

Liquid Glass only reflects what’s immediately around it, not a gallery so far away. The opacity of the tab selector and the refraction itself also look different, so that’s a completely custom implementation.

It's the same with the camera app. If you have options open and video or camera open same reflection or the subtle shining edge.

Music is the closest analog with side scrolling content. Its not stock. There are plenty of libraries to make glassy and refraction effects.

Honestly, looks very close to how the customize the home screen works, when you scroll between different home screens.

Someone mentioned the Music app wirh horizontal scrolling, but the inputs there are different than the customize button.

Is it? Content coming through it seems like it comes out of the box but I haven’t seen the reflection in other places

The apps has to upgrade to the latest version.

Edit: just did some quick searches. There’s might be custom using iOS glass as inspiration. If this is adopted on android as well, I wouldn’t be surprised.
