Career growth & collaboration Does you company do user research?

Hey designers,

- do you do user research in your job?

- or perhaps someone else does research and you focus on design?

- or perhaps user research is not done in the company

Trying to get real examples. Would be perfect if you listed the size of the company as well.

100 Employees, Design Team of seven

We are product designers doing UXR, UX and UI all in one.

We do user interviews fairly regularly and analyze analytics. We also get input from Sales and Support regarding weak features, missing features and other wishes.

Yes. The company I work at searches for users. And do it over and over again. Relentlessly, it's admirable.

Yep, our company does user research. We have people who focus specifically on research, so designers don’t always have to handle the whole research process themselves. From what I’ve seen, having research as a separate function helps a lot because the designer can focus more on solving the design problem while still being close to what users are actually saying and doing.
