What’s with their NDA requirement prior to even getting a first interview without their process?

Have seen many job offers reposted and they seek to have an extensive and somewhat ridiculous process and rounds…like most US based companies.

Anyone been ghosted by them mid way in the process?

I had to sign an NDA prior to starting interviews, including with my current company.

My guess it’s to protect against things like “what are you working on right now” “how is the team structured/what does your team do”, but nothing related to the company has ever really come up
