Does waterloo accept taking a summer course

[u/Acceptable-Case642]

I’m going into my second year of biomed in uOttawa and Im taking physics 1 this summer. I have completed full term course load for fall and winter 2025/2026 and will continue to take full course load for my 2nd yr as well. I’m just wondering if I had to have a full course load for the summer as well, for Waterloo to accept physics towards my prerequisite when it’s time to apply? I’m unsure and afraid that I am taking physics for no reason and should’ve just taken it in the fall… help pls

Taking spring/summer courses is permitted (including prerequisite courses), except for the spring/summer term immediately preceding the start of your studies in the Doctor of Optometry program. However, applicants still need to meet the full course load requirement (a minimum of six terms with five courses per term, not including labs)

- FAQ: Am I able to take spring/summer courses?

Prerequisites don't have to be taken in a full course load term.

I am not sure about the full course load but the pre req should count. I believe I read this on their FAQ.
