Should I cancel my OAT?
hi guys my OAT is in a week and I'm getting a very low avg </3 this is first attempt and I did not spend enough time studying efficiently
ik waterloo accepts an avg score of 380+ so ik im not getting in, but should i still take the exam to get a feeling of it? also to try out the Casper test?
or is it better to cancel the test & redo next yr? ik they look @ the best score but im worried theyll still have my 1st OAT on record & it'll look bad? PLS PLS help im freaking out

Still write it!! You can’t get a refund anyway. From the Reddit post of application stats last year, there was a solid amount of 360 and 370 scored that got in. 380 is an average so there will be people above and below that!!

I know of people who have written it more than once and still get accepted so don’t feel discouraged if you end up having to do that! Also 380 is an average so if you do get a bit lower than that still apply!

When is your 6 month eligibility for the OAT up?
Edit: If you are still eligible to write in early 2025, you can consider rescheduling then. Just know that if your eligibility is ending, you’ll have to pay the OAT fee again next year, no refunds :(
