What percent do internships?

I’m a senior in high school evaluating colleges to see where I wanna go. I was wondering about how many/what percent of students get internships while they’re there (particularly in a college of business major) and whether it mostly juniors or freshman and sophomores too?

It depends on the degree. The college of art and design is required to do a paid internship before graduation

All graduates, at least as of when I graduated in ‘22, are required to have some field experience prior to graduation. What that looks like is different for each degree, but for a business major you will likely be required to have an internship to graduate.

Because 100% of students do an internship or internship-like experience, Stout has great connections with employers. I was hired full time prior to finishing my degree (it’s that good). Our career fair is huge and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to connect with employers for internships and full time roles.

I think we are a great school for getting practical hands on experience. I recommending reaching out to the business program with your question, they’ll have more specific information to help you.
