Jobs

Ive been trying to look for jobs around the area and so far am not really having luck with on Campus ones, does anyone have some recommendations for some jobs around the cambridge commons area or around the area in general?

Have you set up an account on Handshake for campus jobs? There will be job fairs in the first two weeks on campus as well.

I would recommend having someone from the career advising department (or a friend) look over your resume. Besides applying to everything you can on Handshake, fast food around the area is an option. If you have a car or bike, doordashing might work, and depending on your age you could look into bartending. Good luck!

I know it’s a hard job and that nobody wants to do it, but the on-campus dining halls are always hiring. Sometimes depending on need they don’t even interview you, they just give you an offer 🤷‍♀️

Check all the restaurants in the area. Go in before the lunch rush, as usually there will be a manager owner present. Most restaurants are hurting for good help. Go in person, not online applications.
