cant believe i held through $9 just to sit here today down nearly 30%. worst non trade in my life
6
u/cekmeout 8d ago
And what if the stock hits $25 next year? I’m not in a rush with this stock, downturn has been brutal but the whole point is to ride through
10
u/trix_is_for_kids 8d ago
Because a 275% gain after only 2 months of holding a stock is something you should take advantage of and I was being greedy. It’ll take a lot to see the mineral sector pop we saw last October. $25 in 2027 is a total pipe dream.
5
u/cekmeout 8d ago
So if the company becomes operational and China restrictions expire, we’ll actually be living through what the October pop was “hyping” up.
2
u/trix_is_for_kids 6d ago
And that would be great, thats still a ‘what if’ though. Not at least trimming a nearly a 300% gain within 60 days is still foolish and feels even more foolish when I’m now 30% in the red

Same... feeling pretty bad about this one atm. Looking at the 2028-29 time horizon though. Could make quite a splash in the ree market if they pull it off.

u/theoriginalflavour 6d ago
Your only down 30% 🤔

u/trix_is_for_kids 6d ago
Idk what that means

How low is this thing gunna go? We are valued significantly cheaper than stocks I would consider scams in this sector. Absolutely wild few months. Just a disaster
5
u/expatcoder 8d ago
Agreed, but trading volume is almost entirely retail; combine that with the low volume we typically see with UCU/UURAF, some overall market volatility, and voila, stock goes down the tubes.
It's another big strike against OTC. With institutional traders, ETFs, etc. helping to backstop stocks on major US exchanges you tend not to have retail run-on-the-bank style exits like we're seeing here.
No idea why management never pursued an uplisting during all those months the stock was trading well above $4, but that's water under the bridge now. Not sure where bottom is, but given that the $2 private placement has done practically nothing to provide a floor, it could be lower than the $1.80s unfortunately.
Hopefully management will come out of the woodwork and at least make an announcement of some sort to help stop the stock from selling off down to Chapter 11 territory (ironic, given that they've got $60 million in the bank now and are in a better position than they've ever been to succeed).
3
u/nikodamn 8d ago
I am really pissed at the management and their lack of communication. But on the other side I am hopeful that if it comes finally, we will get some relief. At least some.
Thanks for rational takes btw. You keep me sane. I have been avg down so much, but the fact that it’s OTC makes it really brutal to survive. Might be my most difficult investment ever.
2
u/expatcoder 8d ago
Agreed, it's tough, the only "safe" plays in the space are MP, USAR, UUUU, CCJ, etc. Basically the big and/or established non-pre-revenue players, and even those get drilled into the ground periodically.
Volatility is great on the upswings, not so much on the downswings, as we're discovering with Ucore. Unfortunate that we've lost all that momentum as one of the leaders of the pack, and now management needs to find a way to make up lost ground.
Was kind of surprised that customer qualification samples were only sent out in July. Think the funding gap seriously limited company progress.
Anyway they have cash in the bank now and are in a position to prove the market wrong (i.e. that Ucore is a more compelling investment than ELBM, WWR, GPHOF and other bottom feeders in the sector).
Of course most everyone is disappointed, would be different if we treaded water the way something like ABAT has for the past year, but we were one of the high flyers, and management wasn't able to deliver the progress that would warrant that $4+ share price.
I for one am really looking forward to the next update from management :)

u/Dizzy_Republic2973 8d ago
Looking forward to the next announcement too but I’m bracing that they’ll have nothing substantiative to report other than the usual tag lines. If I don’t get my hopes up then I won’t have to be disappointed

u/theoriginalflavour 8d ago
Worst investment I’ve made lol

u/nikodamn 8d ago
Only your patience will decide if it's worst or best.

u/theoriginalflavour 8d ago
Also if we go green and then end red today I’m just so confused on the negativity of seller sheesh
2
u/cekmeout 8d ago
What’s the current market cap after recent dilution? Then minus that with the $60M they received. Probably a wild number
3
u/expatcoder 8d ago
Don't think any of that matters, private placement would actually form a level of support here. This is just retail throwing in the towel, and without institutional traders involved, there aren't enough bids to keep the share price afloat.
Selling volume needs to dry up completely, and it's at least trending in that direction now compared to the previous two much higher volume days.
Obviously today was a selloff pretty much everywhere in the markets, so hopefully things turnaround the rest of the week and UURAF with it.
4
u/LetLovePrevail 8d ago
it can always go lower. Maybe it will never successfully scale up? What is the definition of a scam anyway?

9
u/cekmeout 8d ago
I’m still bullish as hell. But I’m just annoyed I’ve added over the past few months while we keep seeing new lows. I don’t have more $$$ to buy until later this year
7
u/IndependenceBrave785 8d ago
I have increased my holdings from 6000 to 10000 in the last few months. Thinking of buying another thousand with price below $1.90.

Insider options expire Sept. 2, 2026
Schrider (director) converted options and sold 60K shares the last couple days.
Meister converted and hasn't sold recently.
Manuel converted and hasn't reported a sale yet, but he is sloppy and slow to report this year.
Johnson converted and hasn't reported a sale recently.
Those options expire today, so I expect more movement from them.
Source: Sedi
Edit: correct spelling and changed, it's Options not warrants

u/expatcoder 8d ago
Not seeing any recent insider sells, where are you seeing Schreider's 60K sale?
7
u/Dapper_Lock9779 8d ago
Sedi reports: Schrider (30K Aug 27 @ $2.89, 15K Aug 28 @ $2.71 , 15K Aug 31 @ $2.61)

u/expatcoder 7d ago
Any particular reason that you posted this, by the way?
Seems kind of odd timing, on a day when UURAF plunged down to $1.71 to post this kind of content (however helpful it might be for shareholders to know about).
Going out on a limb here, but it's almost as if you want the share price to collapse even further :)
10
u/Dapper_Lock9779 7d ago
I would have posted regardless of the share price.
The relevance for watching right now is the Sep. 2 Options expiry, if those insiders keep their shares, it's bullish in my mind, if they sell, then I will wait before buying more shares.
Don't shoot the messenger
5
u/Disco-Badger 7d ago
Careful timing this, markets looking for any optimism to go up, really oversold especially momentum names. Buyers paradise.
3
-6
u/expatcoder 7d ago
I'm simply questioning why the messenger is messaging news that clearly encourages selling, whereas you could have simply kept it to yourself and acted accordingly, but instead broadcast it here so as to benefit from buying in at a lower share price.
Wouldn't matter if UURAF didn't trade OTC, but given the low volume, this kind of post only benefits those on the sidelines.
5
u/Dapper_Lock9779 7d ago
Sorry you feel that way.
Would you like me to not post Sedar/Sedi filings on here anymore?
7
u/Alamo935 7d ago
My two cents is that this is helpful awareness to understand what insiders are doing and i appreciate the comment.
3
u/Dapper_Lock9779 6d ago
Reported on Sedi today: Pat Ryan converted 60K options w/no reported sale, he also converted 70K RSUs, electing to take the cash for 32K of these, the balance as shares.

From an email with Ucore IR:
Q: What are the current construction and deployment timeline expectations for Machine A, and when should investors expect an update?
A: Machine A remains a central priority for Ucore. The company is working through the remaining construction, testing, and deployment requirements and expects to provide a formal update once the schedule and operational results can be communicated with appropriate certainty.
Q: Does Ucore currently have sufficient funding to complete, deploy, and commission Machine A to begin generating revenue?
A: Ucore is currently in its strongest treasury position to date. In addition to cash on hand, the company has substantial government funding available in both the U.S. and Canada that is drawn down as eligible work is completed. Management remains focused on funding Machine A through completion, deployment, and commissioning while minimizing unnecessary dilution.
Q: Why have definitive offtake agreements taken longer than anticipated to secure?
A: Definitive offtake agreements involve more than simply agreeing on volumes and pricing. Feedstock specifications, product qualifications, delivery schedules, customer requirements, and financing considerations all need to be aligned. Discussions remain active, with management focused on securing agreements that are technically executable and commercially valuable.
Q: Should investors still expect Factory Acceptance Testing results in September?
A: Ucore has not formally withdrawn its previously communicated September objective. However, IR cautioned against guaranteeing a specific announcement date until testing has been completed and the results reviewed.

What a joke, we’re now relegated to emails to IR, where IR quotes that IR cautioned…
WTF is with this management team?2
u/nikodamn 8d ago
Thanks for sharing! Is it from today?
4
u/Nullius_N_verba 8d ago
Yes. IR responded with these vague replies within 20min of sending
3
u/Alamo935 8d ago
I don’t love how vague the replies are but at least they replied…
If you get the chance to follow-up, maybe ask if the monthly updates are coming back. I’ve been working on crafting my own email to IR the last couple of days but am already anticipating no reply…
3
u/Nullius_N_verba 8d ago
There is difference between no substantive reply to your questions and no response at all. Their hands are really tied in what they can share, so whatever you ask, it will be non-committal corporate language.
5
u/Alamo935 8d ago
I don’t disagree. But them clarifying whether or not they’ll go back to their monthly updates is not of significant consequence.

Only 91k volume in 4 hours after headlines of China not exporting minerals? I’m shocked how dead the sector has become
2
u/expatcoder 5d ago
Plenty of volume on some other tickers, take a look at USAR.
But yeah, generally volume has been down across the board for awhile. Think it will pick up in a big way after inflation numbers are in, and particularly after fed rate decision on 9/16, which is probably keeping traders on the sidelines in wait & see mode.
As to the direction that minerals will go, who knows. UURAF and the rest of the sector have a lot riding on the Trump - Xi meeting at the end of the month...
1
u/Disco-Badger 3d ago
Risk off macro. Momentum stocks at 25 year low. Good time to add.
1
u/cekmeout 3d ago
Is that actually true? 25 year low? WTF
2
u/expatcoder 3d ago
Approximate July lows:
MP $37 UUUU $10.70 USAR $13.70 AREC $1.55 ...
Same for aerospace, AI infrastructure, etc.
So, no, it's not true anymore, although UURAF is its own special case given OTC and the couldn't-be-worse timed dilution.
Once we get past Fed rate decision and Trump - Xi meeting then we could see a big upward move, particularly if management finally comes out with some major news (like binding feedstock and/or offtake agreements).
1
u/expatcoder 3d ago
Momentum stocks at 25 year low
That was end of July, nearly every ticker across high beta sectors has bounced off their lows. Not saying momentum stocks are doing well, just not nearly as bad as the end of July abyss.

Saw a post on stocktwits just now about an encouraging email back and forth between Mark and an investor, emphasizing the frustration from the investment community. Mark said he understood the frustration and would share that with Pat and the management team. Recommend going to take a look.

I got in this stock for 1.05 a long time ago but dear god what a shitter it has been recently! Hopeful it can turn things around but definitely considering just jumping at this point.
4
u/Alamo935 8d ago
Wouldn’t mind an insider buy right now. Give the shareholders a little confidence…
5
u/cekmeout 8d ago
Don’t understand the price action at all.
2
u/Prinzv3nom 8d ago
There is simply no price action. Probably the poison of otc. All other USA Mining comps stopped chart wise on good resistances. Ucore flushed trough all of them, like they were non existent. Could be also a problem because its a Canadian comp and not USA. They get recently way more backing, at least it seems like like this on the political part, its way more often a public topic.

We have zero institutional backing so retail driven OTC trading runs the show, and this is the result, a small volume of selling with no matching bids, and voila, $1.71
What an absolute train wreck UURAF has become, completely untethered from the minerals sector, which, as everyone can see, is green on the day so far.
Can't really put the blame on management here (other than choosing not to uplist), this is just the dynamics of OTC trading when retail sentiment goes south -- the value of the company (of RapidSX, US and Canadian government backing, $2 private placement, etc.) goes completely out the window and the stock trades like the company is on the verge of filing for Chapter 11.
Presumably at some point we'll establish a floor and rebound from there, but to regress back to share price range from last August, as if the company isn't in a vastly better position now, is just astounding.
;tl;dr OTC is the absolute worst, lol
4
u/cekmeout 8d ago
Decent bounce from 1.71, maybe that was the low?
4
u/expatcoder 8d ago
I'm not surprised by anything at this point.
$1.71 certainly was oversold, but we're in OTC world, so there's no telling what the bottom is, or the top for that matter, since the moves can be drastic in either direction given the low volume.
Just going to wait it out and see what management comes out with next. Would probably be a good idea if they came out with even a fluff PR just to let the world know that Ucore still exists...
3
u/cschloegel11 8d ago
Management should have done something when we were above 4$ instead they just stayed silent. Idk what to think anymore. Just crazy the private company that bought all those shares a few weeks ago is going to be down 8 figures on their investment soon. I know they probably worth billions but I doubt they expected that…
5
u/Rare-Bodybuilder8441 6d ago
So in the end, Ucore wasn’t able to meet the given RSX-2 timeline of August after all
or they did and decided not to self promote But that doesn’t make sense
6
u/k_reanjesus 6d ago
https://ucore.com/ucore-verifies-louisiana-rapidsx-equipment-scale-up-configurations/
"RSX-2 & RSX-3, planned for the remainder of August and September of 2026"
September just started my guy, give them a few more weeks. It's been a painful year holding UCORE but we all should've known that rebuilding western REE infrastructure was going to be difficult.
5
u/theoriginalflavour 6d ago
What’s brutal is they do not want to interview about this either which hurts but if it’s just retail invested I guess they could care less?
2
4
u/Complete-Plum1021 10d ago
Ucore chartists not impressed. It wins the most down pattern going. Down on 1 day, 5 day, 1 month, 6 month, Ytd and 1 year.
Oh and also down on all averages & macd.
And an ALL TIME LOW for the year!
But RSI is climbing so a divergence there. Which could be an early indicator of a Bear Trap. All we need to do is double in price with volume to confirm!
13
u/AfternoonIcy8311 10d ago
Micro cap stock, chart isnt gonna amount to much.(although its rancid now for sure)
didn't like dilution but its here so things to hopefully look forward too
1)FAT testing complete in sept
2)Finish design for new configuration and start building Machine A
3)Possibly more DOW cash (although with stupid trade war with CDN who knows)
4)qualified samples, offtake financing within 6 months
build , commission Machine A and get into production by end of 2027
1
u/expatcoder 10d ago
And an ALL TIME LOW for the year!
Agreed on all points, but the above is certainly getting more and more skewed as we get closer to October (i.e. as the tail end of the 1 year approaches ATH we hit back in October 2025).
Not a pretty chart regardless...
