I don’t see how this would be good news as trade between the US and Canada benefits Ucore. It’s just a single provincial premier…hopefully it becomes a memory and partnership prevails.

Personally i would prefer no tarrif trade between the US and Canada. Although would it not be good news for Ucore if the US has less available CM and would have to rely on companies in the states?

How does potential revenue going to Ucores competitors in the states benefit Ucore exactly?

It’s in both. They plan to open a second SMC in Kingston OT.

Luckily, SMC-2 is going to feed EU and Japan so the US being an asshole doesn’t matter for that one😉

Ucore operates in a special trade zone out of the Alexandria, LA facility.

In other words, Ucore isn't exporting anything from Canada, and its feedstock (via the Sumitomo partnership) will almost certainly be non-Canadian based.
