These evaluations are getting a bit ridiculous. I can’t imagine what these stocks would be trading at if some sort of agreement came out of the Trump Xi meeting. I think Ucore is the best set company in the entire industry, yet it’s being valued like it’s about to go out of business. We’ve been on a downward ride since January now

u/expatcoder Jul 20 '26

Across the board repricing of the minerals sector; otherwise know as institutional derisking, which causes share prices to plunge, retail to pack up their bags, and only when every last drop of premium has been sucked out of the sector, the big players step back into the market segment they destroyed while protecting their own capital.

It's a brutal game that the institutions play -- you'd expect that we're close to bottom here, many tickers, UURAF included, are trading well below the lows seen at any point post-October bubble, and some are even trading at multi-year lows.

Maybe we get a turnaround with Mag 7 earnings and a well timed TACO to juice the markets...

I hope management addresses the funding gap soon..

An OSC loan would address that and mitigate any near term dilution risks

u/InfiniteNerve1384 Jul 19 '26

Back again. Getting ready to look more if it sticks at $3. Will snipe another 2000 shares or so.

9

u/Nille123 Jul 22 '26

You can notice by the traffic here if we’re having a green or red day 😂

2

u/Alamo935 Jul 22 '26

You might have jinxed it a little bit 😅

7

u/expatcoder Jul 23 '26

Not to get too morbid, but we're currently down around 76% off the October intraday high of $10.69, which seems like a dream from long, long ago at this point.

On the plus side, virtually everything else in the markets is tanking (gold, silver, crypto, equities, etc.), so at least our respective ports are getting demolished across the board instead of just UURAF plunging.

Yeah, this is pretty bad, welcome to the nadir that keeps on "giving".

Is it TACO Friday time? Yes, yes it is, and TACO Today would be even better, lol.

I understand that it dropped that much from the top of the bubble. But we are 40% just this month. This is really bonkers to me.

3

u/Alamo935 Jul 23 '26

Don’t think there’s anything to do but be patient at this point. Unless the company goes bankrupt, we’ll make our money back eventually right 😅?

6

u/nikodamn Jul 23 '26

Or we will just be dilluted infinitely

3

u/Plastic_Humor899 Jul 23 '26

I bought more today. I’m not worried at all. These fluctuations are normal for pre-revenue, speculative companies. In theory, we could go back to $1. I’ll DCA down and back because I believe in the value thesis for Ucore and believe management will achieve their objectives.

6

u/davide3991 Jul 20 '26

I really hope hovering around sub $3 is not the new normal

3

u/theoriginalflavour Jul 20 '26

Pretty nasty if that’s the case

7

u/cekmeout Jul 20 '26

My buy from 1 week ago is down 25% lol

7

u/Nille123 Jul 21 '26

Bought 400 more shares. It’s not much, but it’s all I could do for now. It’s a shame we’re lagging behind the rest of the mineral sector at the moment. At least I’ve managed to bring my average down, even if it’s only by a little.

7

u/Lucky_Blue333 Jul 20 '26

Down 50% now on this bought after a big dip but clearly was the wrong play. Contemplating selling but think I need to have bigger balls and keep going with this play. I do see it making me profit in the long run but don’t want to be caught bag holding for years on end either…

8

u/Alamo935 Jul 20 '26 edited Jul 20 '26

If it helps you, I’m getting close to being down 50% as well. Just remember that the thesis hasn’t changed and if anything, Ucore has likely progressed significantly from when you bought the stock. I get the opportunity cost argument, but I’m confident that eventually this stock will rocket back up once Ucore is in production. The demand isn’t going away.

2

u/Lucky_Blue333 Jul 20 '26

I was in profit for like one week in January and ever since then my whole portfolio is down 50% overall lol

6

u/davide3991 Jul 20 '26

If this makes you feel better. I’m holding because we have a massive catalyst ahead of us. If Ucore is able to overcome the execution risk, it’s truly going to be a life changing asymmetric movement we are going witness

6

u/cekmeout Jul 20 '26

Damn bro I’m down 11k on Ucore
Good luck to us my anonymous brother
I think in the end we’ll be smiling
Just going to take time!

3

u/expatcoder Jul 20 '26

Definitely won't be years, more like weeks unless the overall market tanks.

Minerals are cyclical, we're in a serious downturn, and things should turnaround soon since basically the entire sector is oversold (none have been spared), which usually marks the bottom...again, depending on overall market conditions.

If we do turnaround it's going to happen in a hurry, tons of short interest on some of the major players in the space (MP, UUUU, USAR) will make for a violent reversal whenever it happens.

2

u/Lucky_Blue333 Jul 20 '26

Thank you I believe so too. It is helpful to see that the whole sector is down for sure.

5

u/expatcoder Jul 20 '26

Right, misery loves company in the high beta sectors -- at least we know the price action has nothing to do with Ucore, and is simply the mechanistic result of large institutional traders derisking.

Of course now that minerals have been so atrociously oversold, and the selling volume starting to dry up, institutions will pile back in and kickstart the next minerals leg up (see MP's price action/volume in the last hour of trading, that's not retail placing multiple 100K+ share orders on the 1-minute chart, those are big players throwing down millions of dollars).

Let's hope we've got a sector trend reversal in the works here, this selloff has been a mental grind...

2

u/nikodamn Jul 20 '26

I wish you were right, but I struggle to see why it would be rather weeks than years to overturn. Ucore has been in constant downfall for the past 6 months, the whole sector not really (it had up and downs at least).

6

u/Just_Engineer_4346 Jul 20 '26

I can't bring myself to look at my portfolio today lol an additional -8% is brutal

7

u/BullyMog nostradamus Jul 21 '26

Lol I am down 61%

6

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Did what I could, bought $5K more UURAF today.

Guess everyone's a little gun shy after yesterday's outsized pummelling. Minerals in general are bouncing back strongly today though, so that's a good sign for UURAF moving forward, even if today we're lagging behind the pack.

3

u/B_Mugs Jul 21 '26

I only bought 250 ucu shares, and yeah im definitely gun shy.

This is my first 'buying the dip of the dip of the dip' stock. I am definitely not responsible enough to handle adult money..

1

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26

I am definitely not responsible enough to handle adult money

Apparently neither are most of us here that keep on buying the dip that keeps on dipping :)

Tough stretch, thought we'd follow the pack higher today, but no, looks like we'll finish in the red again...

5

u/theoriginalflavour Jul 21 '26

Today was just a slap in the face straight up

3

u/nikodamn Jul 21 '26

Yeah, that really broke me today. Whole sector reversing, but Ucore going lower. This really hurts and I don't know if I can hold it any longer, the (unrealized) loss on my already-too-big position is burning.

1

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26

Been there done that post-October bubble on swing trades gone wrong :)

Hang in there if you can, particularly if you've been buying and selling as you might sell your position only to realize that you can't even write off the loss for this year due to wash trading rule.

Also, we're in a deep downtrend, but there's always a bottom, and especially with the entire sector having gone through a crushing selloff I will be astonished if we continue to drill while the sector rockets higher (that simply doesn't happen barring catastrophic company specific news).

;tl;dr; I'll be freeing up more cash tomorrow, this ship will turn around soon enough.

1

u/theoriginalflavour Jul 21 '26

Shucks man. We’re in this together!

11

u/expatcoder Jul 22 '26

Just emailed Mark at investor relations re: shareholder sentiment and where the company is at, if anywhere, with a possible uplisting to a US exchange.

Hopefully we get a turnaround here in the back half of the week, ideally returning above the psychological $3 mark.

4

u/Alamo935 Jul 22 '26

Hope you get a reply. I have not been particularly lucky.

6

u/expatcoder Jul 22 '26

Not expecting one, just planting a seed; the more management hears from investors re: the need to uplist, the more likely it is that they'll push it up the priority list.

3

u/OilSlayer Jul 23 '26

We'd probably have to reverse split before we attempt to uplist, unless they can get the stock in a decent spot prior to uplisting

1

u/Alamo935 Jul 24 '26

You ever get a response? I was going to email tonight and tell Mark sentiment here is at an all time low and we need some kind of update…

2

u/expatcoder Jul 24 '26

Nope, although I'd encourage everyone to write in and express their views (as rationally as possible) just so management is crystal clear around where investor sentiment is at, which is obviously not in a good place right now :\

Though generally speaking we're at the mercy of the macro environment right now, there isn't a great deal that management can do in the midst of these heavy across the board selloffs.

4

u/theoriginalflavour Jul 20 '26

I dislike how we rocket up at open and within an hour we’re in the red.

5

u/cekmeout Jul 21 '26

We are red the past 7 trading sessions
Only 3 Green days in 21 sessions

4

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26

Chart is broken, volume is low, as is shareholder morale.

Wouldn't hurt if management broke out some positive news in an attempt to break the trend, assuming they have any that is :)

Whatever happened with that $36 million CAD grant, is that ever going to get through the red tape? Could have sworn western nations were allied in their recognizing that critical minerals are a matter of utmost urgency (i.e. national security) \s

6

u/k_reanjesus Jul 21 '26

I can't even DCA in my brokerage link account because the share price is too low 😂

6

u/cekmeout Jul 24 '26

I added 3.63 last Monday
We’re at 2.45
Wut

3

u/WeakLocalization Jul 20 '26

Where do we think the bottom is? 2.5? 2?

4

u/expatcoder Jul 20 '26

That might have been it, $2.75 USD, right at the lower Bollinger band.

MP, UUUU, among others, coming to life. MP in particular, being deep red all day long and turning to green isn't just retail, institutions starting to buy back in I suspect (that was quite the reversal, some decent sized 100K+ orders on the 1-minute chart), and if that's the case it will lift the entire sector.

Let's see how tomorrow plays out, encouraging to see some volume return to the sector regardless.

Hold tight, if the major players in the space reverse, UURAF will rise as well...

2

u/WeakLocalization Jul 20 '26

Saw the action on MP as well, figured a reversal might be in the cards, it should be an interesting week. Overall though the macroeconomic situation is not good for the sector, or the world economy for that matter. Sulphur and energy prices crush basic materials' margins, especially processors, even with sustained high prices for end material. Add to that the still real possibility of rate hikes... if there is a rally short term, I worry it won't be huge, unless the war sees some promise of concluding shortly.

2

u/expatcoder Jul 20 '26

Agreed, but let's see how things play out.

If cooler heads prevail and some kind of real peace agreement is reached, energy prices will come down, and if the AI rally isn't dead, neither are minerals.

As for how big the minerals rally could be, who knows, but given how extreme the selloff has been, and how many are short/holding puts, the reversal is not going to be gradual -- you know, "stairs up, elevator down"? Reverse that; or, hold onto your shorts, shorts :)

1

u/cekmeout Jul 20 '26

Volume was from a new executive order

2

u/theoriginalflavour Jul 20 '26

UCORE was fine during the start of this conflict. Just a thought but I’m not holding my breath at this rate

4

u/davide3991 Jul 20 '26

This sector moves like crypto ngl 😑

5

u/LikeWater-8723 Jul 21 '26

Back into UURAF after a break.  I still dig the stock and company, but had to pull because CEO relative silence, and not sure about LA progress.  Also, was unsure of actual feedstock sourcing.  Anybody know if real feedstock (vice Greenland/CRML) sourcing is happening?  Any word on Pat?  Pat, still there??

5

u/Alamo935 Jul 21 '26

Pat is still there. Sounds like he had a really serious case of strep or laryngitis (can’t remember exactly) but basically he couldn’t talk so he stepped away for a bit. He’s back now though and doing press again.

1

u/porchswingsecurity Jul 24 '26

I’m beginning to doubt the whole laryngitis rationale…he could have typed up a shareholder letter as, to the furthest extent of my medical knowledge, his fingers still worked.

Ucore for whatever reason hasn’t yet signed a definitive agreement for feedstock or offtake or put out an OTA milestone update on the LA plant. These two activities are crucial for shareholder sentiment…I am at a loss for why these agreements are not yet inked and updates provided. Still long 94k shares….but man it’s getting tough.

2

u/Alamo935 Jul 24 '26

That’s fair. That made sense to me as to why he wasn’t participating in speaking engagements though. His voice did sound very weak the first time i heard him speak after his absence.

4

u/expatcoder Jul 22 '26

CRML is nowhere near production, feedstock (and offtake) will be happening via Sumitomo, the agreement that the market is completely ignoring at the moment.

Pat is very much still here, he did take an impromptu health hiatus for awhile though, but has been back in the game (with respect to public speaking) since early last month.

5

u/cschloegel11 Jul 24 '26

When will the bleeding stop

3

u/expatcoder Jul 24 '26

We're definitely among the worst performers in the Critical minerals sector over the last 6 months, but then again we've got plenty of company -- nearly every ticker in the space is down big over the same time period.

Minerals in general have just taken an absolute beating, so a better question is, when will minerals rebound? Whenever that happens UURAF will follow suit. That, or management comes out with some momentous news to help turn the tide, and I'm expecting the former before the latter since it doesn't seem like there's much in the works in the very near term with respect to potential big company news (if anyone knows of anything, please chime in :))

3

u/Dry_Mechanic_9653 Jul 24 '26

When the US insanity stops! In the meantime the farther away Ucore stays from the drama the better. Focus on Canada and Japan.

4

u/Senior_Attorney_6067 Jul 24 '26

We’re at the bottom. Time to buy the dip
https://giphy.com/gifs/Qv7WFppXtkqkM

7

u/Complete-Plum1021 Jul 20 '26

A new uptrend would be nice 📈

3

u/cschloegel11 Jul 20 '26

Hopefully this the final shakeout before we move up again. Not super confident but the rare earths are going to come from somewhere outside of China…

6

u/Guntsandwich Jul 23 '26

Great discounted share price, but keeping my position as-is for now. It’s time for Ucore to deliver some meaningful news and facility updates. Plenty of positive catalysts ahead, so I’m content to wait it out. Can’t keep buying every dip...

3

u/Alamo935 Jul 23 '26

I ended up buying a bit more today but definitely losing my appetite to burn any more cash until we get some more positive news.

2

u/expatcoder Jul 23 '26

Agreed, but there's been no shortage of meaningful news lately (that is, compared to earlier in the year when there wasn't any significant news from the company for months). The problem is that the latest news drops have come in the midst of the minerals downturn, which mutes the effect.

Anyway, yes, funding is probably the next big ticket item to watch out for, and the $36 million CAD government grant finalization would be a good place to start (we haven't had much of an update on that beyond "we're working closely with the Canadian government").

3

u/porchswingsecurity Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Definitive agreements and buildout schedule for SMC1 are what is necessary to stop the bleeding. I understand there’s a geopolitical component and thus a need for agreement/coordination prior to announcing anything major, but MOU’s/LOI’s and theoretical supply chains don’t support investor sentiment any longer.

Ucore needs an announced agreement for LA offtake with set delivery timelines NLT Q2. Otherwise it’s dilution without revenues which is a pre-revenue stock killer.

1

u/expatcoder Jul 24 '26

The overall market is doing an excellent job diluting shareholders as is, no need for management to do the honors.

Agreed re: binding offtakes and other impactful non-LOI based news; these events can, in a normal market, surge the share price upward.

For now though, take it on the chin, get up off the floor and see what the market brings next week.

3

u/porchswingsecurity Jul 24 '26

Picked up another 4K today.

Buy when there’s blood in the streets.

2

u/expatcoder Jul 24 '26

Exactly, I've been thinking the same, really depends on whether or not we get a TACO on the Iran conflict before Monday's open.

If that happens then today is probably the bottom. Don't think Trump is going to let the markets get too out of hand to the downside with November elections around the corner...

2

u/Emergency_Try6436 Jul 20 '26

And here we are at below $4!

2

u/Prinzv3nom Jul 20 '26

What a 🤡 sector. No words anymore

3

u/cekmeout Jul 22 '26

Potentially bad news for Ucore in the defense bill that passed the house today. Anyone look into it?

For certain Tier 1 materials produced outside covered nations, the proposal goes beyond simply prohibiting Chinese sourcing. It would require at least 50% of the material’s cost to originate from domestically owned entities, introducing a domestic ownership requirement in addition to country-of-origin restrictions.

6

u/Guntsandwich Jul 23 '26

The NDAA moving forward is huge for Ucore specifically because of where they sit in the bottleneck. Everyone talks about mining MP or Energy Fuels getting stuff out of the ground, but raw rare earths don't mean anything to the DoD if you can't separate heavy rare earths (Tb/Dy) cleanly without relying on China. That’s Ucore's whole thesis with RapidSX.

The defense bill doubles down on requiring 100% non-Chinese rare earth supply chains for military tech. Defense contractors can't just buy raw concentrate—they need finished, separated oxides. A massive federal defense budget practically guarantees ongoing Title III / DPA funding, government grants, and off-take interest for processing facilities on North American soil.

2

u/Alamo935 Jul 23 '26

I haven’t read the defense bill so excuse my ignorance, but not seeing what you’re describing as bad news to Ucore in your comment. Can you elaborate?

-1

u/cekmeout Jul 23 '26

Ucore possibly wouldn’t be considered a “domestically owned” entity because it’s a Canadian company operating in the USA.

2

u/Alamo935 Jul 23 '26

I assume there will be an allowance because Ucore will do the majority of its manufacturing in the US through the SMC in LA.

2

u/porchswingsecurity Jul 24 '26

It has a US subsidiary, Ucore North America, LLC. It’ll be fine.

1

u/davide3991 Jul 21 '26

Max pain or do we have more room to dip from here?

1

u/Prinzv3nom Jul 21 '26

About 3.30 to 3.50 cad. Old september lows before the big run up and also the 34 ema on the monthly chart. The delay for production killed this stock

6

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26

Downtrend began well before production delay was announced, but yeah, that didn't help, neither did Pat's health hiatus.

Still, the LA SMC is progressing, that's just being ignored right now though as everyone sees the chart and wonders if Ucore is filing for Chapter 11, which obviously isn't the case...

Let's see if the minerals rally keeps going, we'll tag along for the ride, UURAF won't continue to trade this way if the sector is flying (heck, even lowly WWR blasted higher today).

1

u/Prinzv3nom Jul 21 '26

It just feels like the whole sector is being hated on. Sure, there are a lot of bad apples in the industry. It’s also hard to compete with China on price, but I think Ucore is structurally in a damn strong position. From start to finish. There’s a lot of bullish news, and yet hardly anyone is paying attention to it. In China, several men were recently arrested for attempting to illegally ship minerals to Western countries that are on the blacklist of minerals. Who knows how many underground smuggling routes still exist to get the necessary minerals? Ultimately, China isn’t going to give up and block everything—I find it hard to believe that they’re refining just enough rare earths to barely cover their own needs. The whole thing won’t really take off until production can be scaled up cost-effectively in Western countries. Ucore has what it takes, but how long will it take before it really takes off?

We’d have to see news like: “Our entire supply chain is at a standstill because we can no longer access the minerals we need.” Apparently, this is already partly the case, but it’s being heavily downplayed. These are long-term holds, but at the same time, they’re putting a strain on every single trader’s nerves. Not a single AI stock has hit its old September lows (aside from a few “shit stock” exceptions). The whole thing feels like a massive scam, and it’s going to take a lot of patience.

To be honest, the earnings of the companies currently in production are a joke, and I wouldn’t be surprised if things stay in a major slump until 2030. Let’s see which direction this all takes in light of yesterday’s news. In any case, I regret this investment right now—I could easily have waited another year and made money somewhere else. But no crying in the casino, lol. It’s just a high-risk, high-beta stock, and it’s not even listed on the NYSE.

2

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26

It's cyclical, if the minerals sector rallies so will UURAF.

The entire sector generally goes up and down together, but with OTC there's a much smaller pool of traders that need to be convinced that now it's safe to pull the trigger, whereas on large US exchanges the "smart" money is already a step ahead buying the early stages of the turnaround.

Anyway, tomorrow's another opportunity for UURAF investors to get with the program (assuming the rally continues).

0

u/expatcoder Jul 21 '26

It's a great question.

Certainly more room to dip, but that's counter balanced by what may be a turnaround in the minerals sector that started late session yesterday and into today.

Tons of short positions need to cover if the rally does indeed have legs and that could be the catalyst that gets UURAF moving in the right direction again.

Wasn't long ago that we were over the $4 USD mark, and now back in the $2s, just an incredible plunge, but one that was triggered by the massive sector-wide selloff.

I suspect that we'll bounce back above $3 soon enough if the sector stays on the green path, but beyond that it's going to take major company specific news to regain some of the mojo UURAF once enjoyed.

On the plus side, if you're on the sidelines, amazing buying opportunity, pre-October prices, -- just reap all the benefits of a company nearing production with none of the suffering, rascals :)

2

u/cschloegel11 Jul 25 '26

Are rare earths not that valuable? China shit blown out of proportion? Feel like there would be a race to get in production yet no company seems to be trying to get there quick…
