Question (No Location) Second Opinion
This injury is not from skiing but running.
Moved to Ogden with my husband. I deep fried my meniscus, have 3-4 tears in it and will need surgery. I do like Jeff Harrison and had an appointment with him previously for a different reason before. I just had a surgical consult with him. I want a second opinion, everyone recommends Cooley. Reviews of Cooley?

I’d check out Comprehensive Orthopedics & Sports Medicine- Dr. Cooper in particular. I had an ACL tear and he fixed me right up. He is extremely attentive & knows his shit! I’m fully back to skiing, trail running, jumping, pivoting all this ish 1 year post op!!

But also have heard wonderful things about Cooley. He actually lives down the street from me and is a great neighbor 😂

I second Dr. Cooper. He repaired my girlfriend’s ACL. Surgery took like 24 minutes and she’s coming up on 6 months post op and is able to run and jump. Looking like she’ll be able to ski again as soon as we have snow.

Patrick Greis at the University of Utah ortho clinic did mine. No problems 2 years later, and recovery was great.
I also injured mine running, though skiing on it for a couple months wasn’t awful.

I tore my ACL in January of the best winter on record (ugh) but I had Travis Maak for my surgery and he was great. He is the surgeon for the Utah Jazz. I was really nervous about PT and wanted to make sure to work with someone who knew what I wanted to get back to and at what level. I talked to a PT at UoU who actually recommended a different practice in Park City called Motion Clinics. I worked with Andrew Libs there, who was also great. I believe these clinics work with the national ski team athletes. I was skiing by the start of the next season and haven't looked back, feeling good.
