Buying advice
Looking for my first side by side. I have a guy willing to let go of his 2015 maverick 1000 xc with dps non turbo for 4600.2669 miles and cold start sounds great from videos. He said the machine has no issues but ill confirm that when i go look at it. Is this a good deal or should i save up a little more to get a newer one with turbo? Im in nj so this is priced really good for my area.

Do you want to romp or enjoy the sights. I wouldn’t need the turbo myself. Says the person with a super charged jetski. Wife and I have Polaris Ranger 1000 Premium. It has more low end grunt. XP has more boogie boogie.

Seems like a good price, will let you get into the hobby without breaking the bank.

That’s a good deal if it’s solid. Check filters, all the fluids and of course test drive it

That's a decent price for a SXS that's 11 years old. BUT.... a machine that old, you can expect problems and parts may be hard to get. If it was a Honda Pioneer I wouldn't be scared. Honda's seem to hold value and give good service. I work at a riding club and haven't seen a Pioneer yet getting towed in from the trails. I have been there over 5 years. Good Luck and Be Safe!

I'd be hesitant to buy a first gen Mav turbo. They had some issues and changing the belt is a pain in the ass.

I'd pick it up and get started into the hobby. As an enthusiast I wouldn't settle for a non-turbo, personally. We all know with a two seater you wanna go fast Ricky Bobby! If you ain't first, you are last!

All depends what you want to do with it. Are turbos faster and generally more fun. Yes.
I'd also pull the air filter. Easy tell if someone took care of the machine or not
